Matt Leinart reveals adorable picture with young Miller Moss
USC quarterback Miller Moss kicked off his 2024 campaign with quite the show, carving up the LSU secondary to the tune of 378 passing yards and one touchdown. He was able to guide the Trojans to a big Week 1 victory, making some beautifully accurate throws down the stretch when his team need him the most.
On Wednesday afternoon, USC legend Matt Leinart revealed a picture of he and Moss when Moss was a little boy. He’s been a Trojan fan for much of his childhood and is currently living out his lifelong dream.
Sometimes it’s pretty cool to see things play out like that.
Moss looked superb in the Trojans’ bowl game last year and he proved the performance was no fluke on Sunday night against the Tigers. Both he and LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier looked exceptional in the game and put on quite a show for college football fans across the country. It was without a doubt, one of the best games for Week 1 of the 2024 college football season.
Moss played exceptional, delivering strike after strike when it counted the most. He dropped this beauty of a dime late in the fourth quarter to get the Trojans in position to get the game-winning touchdown run by Jo’Quavious Marks. Then there was another one, when he dropped back at the 35-yard line and sent a gorgeous spiral to where only Ja’Kobi Lane could get it. The 28-yard touchdown strike put the Trojans up with 5:44 remaining in the fourth quarter.

On the game-winning drive, Moss connected on five of six passes for 56 yards, allowing the Trojans to get into position for the winning score. His performance was exceptional, but plenty of credit has to be given to USC head coach Lincoln Riley for some brilliant play-calling throughout the game. Both offensive coaches from both teams did a masterful job of dialing up some beautifully executed plays throughout the night.
The play of the night and one of the best plays of the 2024 college football season came when Kyron Hudson hauled in an insanely acrobatic one-handed grab. The unbelievable catch set social media ablaze. That one is going to be marked down as one of the best plays of the season. It’ll be fascinating to see if anyone can top it, but it’s going to be really, really tough.
Moss is going to be a fascinating quarterback to watch the rest of this season, given Lincoln Riley’s history of producing top-tier quarterbacks and highly explosive offensive numbers.
