4-star TE Max LeBlanc announces top four schools
Chattanooga (Tenn.) Baylor School four-star tight end Max LeBlanc announced his top four schools on Wednesday. They are Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio State and Tennessee.
LeBlanc is the No. 324 overall prospect and No. 19 tight end in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 7 player in Tennessee.
On3 rates LeBlanc higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Even though he is not ranked in the 2024 On300, LeBlanc is the No. 16 tight end in the country and the No. 6 player in Tennessee.
The 6-foot-5, 225-pound recruit visited the Volunteers on March 25, as well as Michigan on March 29. Three of LeBlanc’s finalists were previously in his top eight.
LeBlanc likes what Tennessee offers offensively
LeBlanc began developing a connection with Tennessee’s staff in January. The four-star shared with Matt Ray of Volquest that he talks with head coach Josh Heupel and tight ends coach Alec Abeln weekly. Abeln is a key reason for his interest in the Volunteers.
“I definitely like him,” LeBlanc said on March 2. “He has been with Coach Heupel for a long time, he told me, so that means they have good chemistry. What he has told me so far, how they use the tight ends and stuff, has been really interesting.”
Tennessee’s offensive success is also intriguing to LeBlanc. He believes that the Volunteers will allow him to be versatile on the field.

“It is very similar and looks a lot like what I am doing at Baylor right now,” LeBlanc said. “That is really what I am looking for in an offense when I get to college, is doing something similar to what I am doing at Baylor. I think Tennessee’s offense is one that does that.”
LeBlanc is also intrigued by how Michigan uses tight ends
Regarding Michigan, LeBlanc’s visit last month was his first time in Ann Arbor.
“I’m excited to go out there,” LeBlanc told EJ Holland of The Wolverine on March 23. “I want to see how the coaches interact with the players, how the meetings are and things like that. I just want to see everything in general is what I would say.”
According to LeBlanc, tight ends coach Grant Newsome is his main contact in Ann Arbor. Similar to Tennessee, how the Wolverines play their tight ends impresses LeBlanc.
“I like the way they use the tight ends a lot,” LeBlanc said. “From watching Michigan on TV during the season, I really like how the tight ends are involved in the offense. That’s something that stands out.”
