Memphis DL Adarious Jones enters the NCAA Transfer Portal
Memphis DL Adarious Jones has entered his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Jones just finished his redshirt senior year in college. He spent the past two years with the Tigers after beginning his career with three with the Texas A&M Aggies. Jones has played in 37 games, 17 with A&M, 20 with Memphis, in that time.

In total, Jones has posted 18 tackles and half of a sack. Most of that came in 2021 as a sophomore with a dozen tackles and that half sack in ten appearances for the Aggies.
Jones, a native of Virginia Beach, played high school football at Catholic. He was the No. 528 overall recruit there as a three-star prospect in the 2019 cycle. He also rated as the No. 59 DL and a Top-15 player out of Virginia. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Jones is the latest player to enter or plan to enter the portal from Memphis since the start of the cycle, specifically with their season over now following their 42-37 win over West Virginia in the Frisco Bowl. Jones joins a group that has now reached a dozen officially and includes LBs Brett Karhu and Darryl Minor and LS William Stewart along with three receivers in Timothy Toney, Tyson Edwards, and Ja’koby Banks plus five safeties in Tahj Ra-El, Marvae Myers-Glover, Cameron Upshaw, DJ Bell, and Tyrin Taylor.
