Merrimack transfer guard Adam “Budd” Clark committed to Seton Hall. He started 66 games across two years with the Warriors before entering the transfer portal.

Clark had a breakout year as a sophomore in 2024-25, averaging 19.8 points and 6.0 assists. He had a season-high 32 points twice, including in a close December loss to Stanford, and four double-doubles on the year.

As a freshman in 2023-24, Clark averaged 13.4 points and 3.9 assists per game. He will have two years of eligibility remaining as he makes his way to Seton Hall.

Adam “Budd” Clark is a Philadelphia native and played high school basketball at West Catholic Prep. He won a state title with the program before taking his skills to the college level in 2023.

Seton Hall had a rough go in 2024-25, finishing 7-25 overall and 2-18 in Big East play. It was a tough way to follow up an NIT title last year in Shaheen Holloway’s second season at his alma mater, when the Pirates went 25-12 overall and 13-7 in conference action.

A loss to UConn at the end of the regular season marked 24 losses on the year for Seton Hall, which marked a new program record. Afterward, Holloway said he expected changes to the roster, but made it clear he doesn’t want to go through another season like 2024-25 ever agian.

“It’s gonna be some movement [on the roster for next season],” Holloway said, via NJ Advanced Media’s Adam Zagoria. “I’ve always been a person that was very juiced to coach but after what happened this year I can’t wait to get out on the road and hit the recruiting trail and get our guys here in the summer time so [I’m] looking forward to that because I never want something like this to happen again.”

Seton Hall also notably lost its leading scorer to the transfer portal this offseason. Isaiah Coleman hit the open market March 25, and his recruitment is starting to heat up. He led the Pirates with 15.6 points and 5.3 rebounds per game this past season as part of a breakout sophomore campaign.
