Miami 4-star WR commit Chance Robinson visiting Ohio State
Miami’s 2024 recruiting class is highlighted by the immense amount of talent at skill positions. The Hurricanes’ pledge list features 22 commits and ranks No. 18 in the nation, per the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Ranking.
One of the top prospects currently in the class, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas four-star wide receiver Chance Robinson, is on a game visit in Columbus to watch Ohio State take on Western Kentucky.
Robinson is the No. 114 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 21 WR and No. 17 player in the Sunshine State.
The Buckeyes were not in the thick of Robinson’s recruitment, as he was just offered by them in September. He committed to Miami over the likes of Georgia, Auburn, Florida and Penn State. He did not visit Ohio State before his commitment.
Robinson wants to bring Miami back
“They showed me the most love and I wanna stay home and put on for my city, I hate seeing Miami in the state it’s in and I just wanna be a part of bringing the city back,” Robinson told On3’s Hayes Fawcett upon his pledge.
Robinson reaffirmed his commitment to CaneSport following the Hurricanes’ big win over Texas A&M last weekend. He is the fifth highest-ranked commit in the Canes’ class and is one of two top-150 wideouts, alongside elite Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna four-star Joshisa Trader.
“It’s what I expected out of them, and that’s why I committed,” Robinson told CaneSport after the A&M win. “They were taking shots to the playmakers. That’s exactly what you’re supposed to do in games like that…

“It was exactly how they told me it was going to look,” he added with a smile. “They’re living up to what they’re telling us. This is why I’m (staying) home.”
Ohio State currently owns the No. 2 recruiting class in the nation, which includes five five-star pledges. Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep WR Jeremiah Smith is the top-ranked player in the nation, while Chicago St. Ignatius five-star DL Justin Scott and New Haven (Ind.) WR Mylan Graham flank as top-15 recruits.
Ohio State has the highest average rating per recruit at 92.60. Saint Louis Christian Brothers high four-star WR Jeremiah McClellan also pledged in August, meaning Robinson would still be the fourth highest-ranked wideout in the Buckeyes’ class, if he were to flip, despite being a top-115 prospect.
Robinson has an On3 NIL Valuation of $111K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
