Miami has On3’s No. 12 ranked recruiting class. And head coach Mario Cristobal and his staff are hoping to soon add on.

Cristobal and company had Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep defensive lineman Donta Simpson in for camp last week and the talented point of attack prospect earned a scholarship from the Hurricanes.

Sounds like The U will be tough to beat moving forward.

Currently committed to Maryland, the On3 RPM is now trending towards to Miami to flip.

Simpson is 6-foot-3 and nearly 300 pounds. He has some nice traits. He can bend, has some twitch, uses his hands well and plays with toughness.

Tabbed by On3 as the nation’s No. 51 defensive lineman, he also has a chip on his shoulder. He came to camp to earn this offer and if he does indeed flip to Miami, he’ll bring that underdog attitude with him to the next level.

Miami has 19 commits defensive line one of the major priorities moving forward. Simpson is one they’d love to add.
