Cam Ward: Miami is ‘not even close’ to playing its best football
With a talented offense, led by transfer quarterback Cam Ward, the Miami Hurricanes have gotten off to a quick 2-0 start. With that, there are expectations that Miami could compete for the ACC Championship and the College Football Playoff.
Despite that success, Ward recently shared that he doesn’t think the Hurricanes are playing close to their best football yet.
“No. We’re not even close to playing our best football,” Cam Ward said. “If you go back and really watch the tape from the first game, I would say there was a minimum of ten bad plays just from a quarterback and receiver standpoint. And from this last game, the biggest takeaways were the fourth downs, and that was us just not doing little things. So, that’s something we have to clean up.”
