Miami transfer wide receiver Isaiah Horton commits to Alabama
Alabama has added a huge piece to its 2025 transfer haul, as former Miami wide receiver Isaiah Horton has committed to the Crimson Tide. On3’s Hayes Fawcett reported the news.
Horton played in 29 games across his three seasons with the Hurricanes, hauling in 70 passes for 790 yards and six touchdowns. By far his move productive season came this fall, where he caught 56 passes for 616 yards and five scores in one of the nation’s best passing offenses.
After redshirting his freshman year in Coral Gables, he will have two years of eligibility remaining.
As a member of the Class of 2022, Horton was a four-star recruit out of Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Oakland, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 12 overall prospect in the state, the No. 54 wide receiver in the class and the No. 337 overall prospect in the class.

Currently set to return next season are leading receivers Germie Bernard and Ryan Williams, who was one of college football’s breakout stars as a true freshman. The duo combined for 91 catches in the regular season, more than 1,500 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.
Junior tight end Josh Cuevas is set to be back as well after notching 15 catches in reserve duty. The Tide will need some more additions though, as wideouts Caleb Odom, Kobe Prentice and Kendrick Law have all entered the transfer portal after combining for 28 catches this season.
Alabama will potentially be breaking in a new quarterback along with its revamped passing attack, as junior quarterback Jalen Milroe is still contemplating whether he will return or enter the NFL Draft. Backups Ty Simpson and Austin Mack would compete for the starting job if Milroe leaves, along with true freshman Keelon Russell.
