Miami, Duke picked up victories on Thursday in the ACC quarterfinals

Both Duke and Miami secured top four seeds in the ACC, earning double byes into the quarterfinals. The Hurricanes and Blue Devils saw their first tournament action on Thursday. Duke defeated ninth seeded Syracuse 88-79 in the quarterfinals. Miami defeated 13th seeded Boston College 71-69 in overtime.

Miami finished the regular season 22-9 overall, including a 14-6 mark against ACC opponents. The Hurricanes enter Friday’s matchup on a three-game winning streak.
