Oklahoma OT commit Michael Fasusi is new 5-star in updated 2025 On300
With the Early Signing Period just over two weeks away, On3 has updated its recruiting rankings for the 2025 class. Lewisville (Texas) offensive tackle and Oklahoma commit Michael Fasusi is the No. 22 overall prospect and a new five-star in the 2025 On300.
The latest edition of On3’s 2025 rankings features 25 five-star prospects, up six from the previous update in September. Of those 25 five-stars, 23 are committed to college programs.
The 6-foot-5, 300-pound Fasusi committed to the Sooners over Texas, Texas A&M and others on Aug. 21. Relationships with head coach Brent Venables and touted OL coach Bill Bedenbaugh helped put OU over the top for the trench monster this summer.
“A lot of prayer went into my decision,” Fasusi told On3. “God really helped me and my family with this decision. Coach Venables is a man of faith too. He is just a great person that cares about his players. Everything coach Venables told me along the way, I believed. Who he is, is somebody I want to play for.”

“Coach B coaches at a high level, and I really believe I will be in good hands,” he added. “He was a key piece in my decision. People don’t know this, but he is a funny guy. What stands out most is how real he is. His numbers with developing offensive linemen are more than impressive, but he never talks about them. He is not that guy. Coach B is humble, he is real and he is honest. Our relationship is deep.”
Fasusi is the lone five-star committed to Oklahoma this cycle, headlining a top-15 class in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. He’s flanked by over a dozen four-stars.
Scout’s Take on Michael Fasusi
On3’s Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power writes this of Fasusi as a prospect:
“Michael Fasusi is a physical offensive lineman with natural brute strength and developmental upside. Measured in at 6-foot-5, 299 pounds with 9.75-inch hands at the On3 Elite Series prior to his senior season. Has plus length for the position, with arms that measure 34 ⅞ inches. Has a barrel-chested build. Added significant size during the off-season between his sophomore and junior years. Spends most of his time as a left tackle, but has also played some on the right side. A bull in the run game. Latches onto defensive linemen and keeps his feet moving on contact. Gets a considerable push at the point of attack. Plays with an edge and works to finish blocks with authority. Showed encouraging improvement on the field as a junior, adding play strength. A solid overall athlete with upside to continue improving as a pass protector. Can improve lateral agility and balance.”
