Copperas Cove (Texas) four-star offensive tackle Michael Uini has received 26 offers. He is ready to cut down that list.

Uini announced his top 10 schools on Thursday. They are Baylor, TCU, Texas, Alabama, USC, Georgia, Florida, Oregon, Michigan and Nebraska.

“As of right now, I just went off of the connections, the schools that keep in touch with me, hit me up from (then) and there,” Uini told On3. “If I wanted to go a school, the o-line coach is the main one that I’m going to spend my time. So these top 10 schools are really the teams that hit me up the most.”

Uini shared that he communicates with his top 10 schools at least three times a week. The Lone Star State native added that TCU and Texas are “the main ones that reach out.”

The 6-foot-7, 275-pound has already visited Baylor, TCU, Texas, Alabama, Georgia and USC. He plans to visit the Horned Frogs again this month, but has yet to set a date for the trip.

Meanwhile, Uini already knows what he is looking for in a school.

“It’s really going to be, of course, education and a place that can make me as a man on and off the field and also, a place where my parents will feel safe about me going, spending the next three-to-four years,” said Uini, the No. 119 overall prospect and No. 9 offensive tackle in the 2024 On3 Consensus.

Releasing a top schools list is the latest step in Uini’s recruitment. He has an idea of his timeline to a commitment.

“I’m still trying to take this recruitment process in,” Uini said. “I’m still gonna take it slow. I don’t feel like I’m going to commit before (my senior season. It will) probably in the middle of my senior season. If not, then right after.”
