WATCH: Michigan's DJ Turner levels Maryland mascot Testudo after end zone collision
Michigan appeared to seal a victory over Maryland thanks to a big touchdown run. However, the Terrapins mascot took a big hit during the fourth quarter.
Defensive back DJ Turner wound up getting pushed into the Maryland mascot, Testudo, on a play in the fourth quarter, sending it to the ground. It was just some of the collateral damage as Michigan fought back to take a commanding lead over the Terps at The Big House on Saturday.

The mascot wasn’t the only member of the Terrapins to take a big hit. Quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa ended up leaving the game because he took a shot from the Michigan defense and, after coming back in, left for good once Michigan took a 34-19 lead.
Blake Corum discusses career-best rushing performance following effusive praise from Jim Harbaugh
FOX Sports reporter Jenny Taft expected to talk with Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh after the Wolverines’ win over Maryland on Saturday. Instead, Harbaugh brought someone else with him: running back Blake Corum.
“This is the guy you want to talk to right here,” Harbaugh said. “This guy was a stud today. What a game, what a game. Great job.”

Corum had a monster day in the Wolverines’ win over the Terrapins at The Big House, totaling a career-high 243 yards and two touchdowns to help lead Michigan to the 34-27 victory and improve to 4-0. It was a much-needed performance, especially considering the Wolverines were without Donovan Edwards in the backfield.
Afterward, Corum didn’t hold back about what the big performance meant to him.
“I just love this game, man, I love this team, I love this Block M and I love my guys,” Corum said. “I just came out here and played for them and they played for me. We got the job done. We’ve got some things to fix, but it was a great game against a great team. I just do it for the people that can’t do it.
“Earlier this week, Aidan Hutchinson — shouting him out — I played for him, too. I sent him a video earlier this week. I feel for the people that can’t do it because they would love to be in my spot, so why not give it my all, you know? So I just love this game. … Great team win.”
