A primetime showdown between the Washington Huskies and Michigan Wolverines is one of the top games of the weekend.

It’s no surprise the list of recruits expected at The Big House in Ann Arbor is long. It’s full of five and four-star names that represent some of the most intense recruiting battles in the country.

The biggest name on the list is five-star senior defensive lineman Walter Nolen of Powell (Tenn.) High.

On3 National Analyst Chad Simmons broke down Nolen’s recruitment two weeks ago. Heading into the season Tennessee and Texas A&M were the teams at the top of his list. But the Wolverines are set to host him on an unofficial visit this weekend.

Must-get recruits visiting

Other key 2022 names scheduled to be at Michigan include five-star cornerback and USC commitment Domani Jackson of Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei four-star offensive tackle Josh Conerly of Seattle Rainer Beach.

Conerly, the No. 50 player in the country, is a must-get recruit for the Wolverines. Coach Jim Harbaugh, offensive line coach Sherrone Moore and offensive coordinator Josh Gattis flew to Washington in June to watch him work out at a camp. The Wolverines’ main competition is Washington. An impressive showing on the official visit could go a long way Michigan.

Four-star On300 EDGE prospect Joshua Josephs of Kennesaw (Ga.) North Cobb will be on campus for an unofficial visit. He was originally planning to be at Tennessee this weekend for an official visit. Michigan has been trending with him and the visit is a good sign for the Wolverines.

The visit list also includes four-star DL Deone Walker of Detroit Cass Tech and four-star DL Kenneth Grant of Merrillville, Ind. Both Walker and Grant are key 2022 targets on the defensive line.

Senior IOL Mark Nabou – a three-star prospect from Seattle O’Dea that has Michigan, Texas A&M, Texas and USC offers on his list – will make his second unofficial visit to Ann Abor. He was on campus earlier this summer.

Top 2023 Michigan targets set to visit

There’s also a handful of quality 2023 recruits set to be at the game on unofficial visits. This includes four-star Dante Moore of Detroit Martin Luther King, four-star receiver Jalen Brown of Miami Gulliver Prep, four-star linebacker Tackett Curtis of Many, La.

Top in-state 2023 DL target Jalen Thompson of Cass Tech is coming for an unofficial visit. Michigan State has been trending with Thompson. So, it could be a good chance for the Wolverines to make up some ground.

Other local 2023 targets to watch for at the game are IOL Amir Herring and WR Semaj Morgan of West Bloomfield. Both players have the Wolverines high on their list.

Seattle stars coming, too

There’s more than Conerly and Nabou coming from the Seattle area to watch the game.

O’Dea 2024 prospect Isendre Ahfua is considered by many to be the top sophomore interior line prospect in the country. He’ll be in The Big House. The 6-foot-5, 330-pound four-star caliber prospect already has double-digit offers, including from Michigan and Washington.

Ferndale (Wash.) High 2023 three-star IOL Landen Hatchet and junior consensus four-star running back Jayden Limar of Lake Stevens, Wash., will be there. The Wolverines and Huskies have both offered each prospect.
