Michigan is in the middle of a pivotal stretch on the recruiting trail as top prospects roll through the Big House and Schembechler Hall like it’s a revolving door.
Sherrone Moore and his program are making a big impression.
On3 has the latest.
Touted defensive back gets a good look at Michigan
One of America’s most prized cornerbacks Havon Finney Jr. is wrapping up his time in Ann Arbor on Wednesday and the Maize and Blue continue to make a big impression as they battle LSU, Ohio State, Texas A&M and USC among others.
“Michigan has been great,” Finney’s father said. “The staff really embraced us and made us a priority. I’d say big takeaways would be that Coach Moore is aggressively looking to add immediate impact players to their defense. With the team losing Will Johnson and few others, the full court press is on.”
Finney saw an environment he could be really successful.
“The amount of kids that pipeline from California to Michigan was an eye opener,” the elder Finney said. “We knew of a few from over the years, but I think they currently have 15 kids from California on the roster.”
More touted 2026s wrapping up visits on Wednesday
Michigan has Rochester (NY) Monroe electric wide receiver Messiah Hampton on campus. He high on the likes of “Miami, Oregon, Syracuse, Ohio State, Penn State,” and has always had the Wolverines top of mind as well. Ron Bellamy is leading the recruiting of Hampton.

Michigan is moving up the list.
Coveted running back visits this weekend
Notre Dame made a huge move with On300 running back Javian Osborne last week. Now it’s Michigan’s serve when the Forney (Texas) High standout returns this weekend. The Wolverines have always been one of Osborne’s favorites and currently lead on the On3 RPM.
“We’re looking forward to it,” Osborne’s father Maurice said.
“This one like we told TA (Tony Alford) we want to see how this offense looks under (Chip) Lindsey. “I know they’ve been installing a lot of different things. See how the guys move around hitting and seeing how this offense looks.”
The Wolverines and Irish are in a great spot for Osborne with Georgia, SMU and others in the picture
“Michigan he likes the tradition,” the elder Osborne said. “He knows that they run the ball. He wants the opportunity to get the ball in his hands. He loves the culture, the tradition. The big thing also is the offensive line. They did a good job this past season. 2025 they got top recruits on the offensive line. That intrigues him the most.”
Three-day visit for four-star edge Jackson Ford begins Wednesday
Michigan is one of the early favorites for Malvern Prep On300 pass rusher Jackson Ford. He was offered during the summer, had an amazing visit during the fall and now returns for three days this week beginning on Wednesday.

“What really excites me about Michigan is how they have elite academics and elite football program,” Fitzgerald said. “They treated us very well on the visit and I just loved everything about the school. Their business school is top five in the country. It’s really they take everything very serious there. I love how they’re into the sports science into the weight room and they test you regularly to make sure everything is ok, and they have so much academic support there and they really care about the players and football is really a priority there.”

Texas A&M is the leader with Colorado, Georgia Tech, Miami, Florida State and North Carolina some of the others in the mix.
“I’m excited because Michigan is know for producing top DBs every year and I have a good relationship with Coach Morgan and I feel like a priority to them,” Pouncey added. He’s been at LSU, Georgia and Notre Dame this spring and is also high on Florida and Miami among others.
