Mike McCarthy has 'love and gratitude' for Aaron Rodgers
Now the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, Mike McCarthy got his first head coaching job with the Green Bay Packers. There, he had to transition from the Brett Favre era to the Aaron Rodgers era. During that time, he found incredibly consistent success, winning a Super Bowl.
This week, Dallas and Green Bay will meet on the field. That means that Mike McCarthy is going to face his former team and quarterback, who he clearly still has a ton of love for.
“I have nothing but love and gratitude for him [Aaron Rodgers],” Mike McCarthy said.

“Whole lot of appreciation. He made me a much better coach. I’m looking forward to seeing him.”
This has been a difficult season for Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. This past week, the Packers lost to Detroit, falling to just 3-6 on the season. In that game, Rodgers threw three interceptions, two of which were in the end zone. On the season, Rodgers has seven interceptions, the most he’s thrown in a season since 2016. He’s only played nine games so far.
Mike McCarthy has the Cowboys at 6-2 but chasing the Philadelphia Eagles, who are the NFL’s last unbeaten team.

Mike McCarthy is a fan of OBJ
Mike McCarthy wasn’t afraid to admit that he’s a big fan of Odell Beckham Jr, who has been recovering from an ACL injury and is in need of a new team.
“I’ve always been a huge fan of his…I’ve just heard so many excellent, excellent things about him,” McCarthy said.
The Cowboys are definitely interested in adding more players to the roster, after being active during the trade deadline. Depending on his health, OBJ could provide a spark on the Dallas offense that would lead them past the Eagles in the NFC East race.
