Mike Norvell set to see On300 OT Julian Armella this weekend
Florida State head coach Mike Norvell will visit 2022 On300 offensive lineman Julian Armella this weekend, according to Noles247.
Armella is the No. 268 overall recruit in the On300 rankings. The Seminoles are one of his top choices, along with Alabama, Florida, LSU and Miami.
He attends Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas, which plays Saturday against Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Cardinal Gibbons.
Julian Armella would be a great addition to the Florida State recruiting class
The Seminoles had a very bad start to the season, losing their first four games before rebounding to win their last two. That start, coupled with the programs lack of success since Jimbo Fisher left, have raised lots of questions about if all its 2022 commits will end up on campus.
Suwanee (Ga.) Collins Hill five-star athlete and No. 2 overall recruit Travis Hunter has been steadfast in his commitment to Florida State.

But Lakeland (Fla.) Lake Gibson four-star safety Sam McCall, the second-best recruit in the class, told On3’s Chad Simmons that he is keeping the door open because of the uncertainty of the situation in Tallahassee.
And Crystal Springs (Miss.) 2022 four-star EDGE Trevion Williams reopened his commitment. While he did not decommit from the school, he said he is looking at his other options. That would include considering “a better offer for what I feel like is best for me to get to the next level.”
With so many questions around the Seminoles on the recruiting trail, gaining a commitment from Armella would be key. Not only would it mean Norvell copped another high-level talent for his program but also demonstrates to other recruits that the sky is not falling down — at least not yet.
