Four-Star SG Mikey Lewis cuts list to 6 schools
Napa (Calif.) Prolific Prep four-star shooting guard Mikey Lewis has cut his list to six schools, he tells On3. Moving forward, the 6-foot-3, 170-pound rising senior will consider Illinois, Kansas, LSU, Ole Miss, San Diego State, and St. Mary’s.
So far, Lewis has taken only a single official visit — St. Mary’s. However, he’s scheduled two more: Illinois on September 16th and LSU on September 23rd.
Along with his finalists, Lewis also received offers from Washington, Cal, TCU, Syracuse, Providence, and others.
According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Mikey Lewis is the No. 62 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle. He’s also the No. 14 shooting guard prospect and the No. 7 player in the state of California. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Mikey Lewis talks programs involved
In a previous interview with On3, Lewis went in-depth on several of the schools recruiting him.
Illinois: “My relationship is really good with Coach Cheser Frazier. He has become really close with me and my family. They have a tradition of winning there, and they give guards freedom to play like I like to play. I want to be a part of something like that.”

LSU: “Coach (Matt) McMahon has been great. They got a really good staff there. Coach McMahon had Ja (Morant) help develop him. And when he had Ja, he let him rock out. I feel like if I were to go there, I would get the opportunity to play on day one. They let me know that if I earn it, they’ll let me come in and play the same game I’m used to, scoring while playing on and off the ball.”
St. Mary’s: “They’re really close to me and my family. They’ve been one of the longest schools actively recruiting me, and they show up everywhere to see me. They saw me at Peach Jam and at the Top 100.”
San Diego State: “A lot of my guys went there. They’re close to home for me, and they were one of the first schools that were on me. I’ve been in contact with Coach (Chris) Acker a lot, and I’ve been talking to Coach (Brian) Dutcher. I like what they’re saying.”
