Miller Moss injury: USC QB leaves game with injury following TD run
USC quarterback Miller Moss was injured with 8:22 left in the fourth quarter on Saturday against the Wisconsin Badgers. Moss made a beautiful spin move and juke on a critical fourth down conversion, diving his way into the end zone. But as he landed, he hit his head on the turf at the Coliseum.
Shortly after the play happened and USC was up 31-21, CBS sideline reporter Jenny Dell said that Moss was being evaluated for a concussion in the medical tent.

The Wisconsin defensive line certainly made Miller Moss earn it on Saturday, but he put another 300-yard performance on the books. The Trojans were seen warming up backup quarterback Jayden Maiava on the sidelines, shortly after he dove into the end zone on his touchdown run. But they decided to bring Moss back in the game with less than seven minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.
Moss finished with another excellent performance. He certainly earned it, dodging Wisconsin defenders in the pocket for much of the day on Saturday. Their defensive unit hurried Moss more than 14 times, forcing him to step up in the pocket to elude several Wisconsin players harassing him off the edge. Moss finished completing 30 of his 45 passes for 308 yards, while tossing in three touchdowns and an interception.

He also managed to tack on the rushing touchdown above.
USC got a critical stop late in the fourth quarter to make sure that the Badgers didn’t tack on another score. They ran out the final few minutes of the clock and came away with a big win, moving them to 3-1 on the 2024 campaign. USC was trailing Wisconsin 21-10 at halftime, but they managed to turn around things in the second half. They outscored the Badgers 28-0 in the second half, pulling out the comeback victory.
USC got a 55-yard pick-six late in the fourth quarter by Mason Cobb, essentially shutting the door completely for the Badgers. They outscored Wisconsin by 28 points in the fourth, once again showcasing their ability to storm back in the second half. Their defense has allowed just 17 points through four games so far, much improved from the past few years.
In the second half, USC is now outscoring their opponents by a total of 87-23.
Next up, USC will face the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Saturday, Oct. 5th. That one will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
