More on Mississippi State vs. Alabama

No. 2 ranked Alabama has not looked back since starting their conference schedule, winning seven straight conference games and remaining as the only undefeated team in the SEC. They’ve established themselves as one of the top teams in the country behind their outstanding ability to score, led by freshman forward Brandon Miller. Miller’s 19.8 points per game leads the SEC, helping lead a Crimson Tide offense that averages a conference leading 84.1 points per game.

The Bulldogs will definitely have to slow Miller down if they want to leave Tuscaloosa with a win, as he had back-to-back 30-plus point games before his latest 15-point outing. This will be the team’s second meeting, with the Crimson Tide defeating Mississippi State 78-67 in a game where Miller had 19 points. Chris Jans and his squad will be looking for their second SEC victory of the season, coming off of four straight loses following their win over rival Ole Miss. Their offensive attack is not as strong as Alabama’s, but their defense could give the Crimson Tide problems, ranking second in points allowed in the SEC holding opponents to 58.3 points per game.
