2026 DL Kaleb Morris commits to Mississippi State

Heading into official visit season, Mississippi State is looking to add a number of targets to its class that currently ranks No. 39 in the On3 Industry Football Team Recruiting Rankings.
With over a dozen prospects on campus this weekend, the Bulldogs have already locked one down: Mary G Montgomery (Ala.) three-star defensive lineman Kaleb Morris. He announced his commitment Saturday afternoon on Twitter.
The 6-foot-4, 250-pounder was on the first of five scheduled official visits. Trips to Memphis, Houston, Georgia Tech and Tulane were also on tap, but he pulled the trigger on his trip to Starkville. He becomes the ninth commitment in the cycle for Jeff Lebby and Co., and the first defensive lineman in the class.
Morris came into trip very excited about the MSU program.
“I really like Mississippi State a lot,” he told MaroonandWhite.com. “I like their defensive line coaches and their defensive coordinator. I’ve been there before and I really like them a lot.”

Originally he planned to wait until after his official visits to make a decision, especially with a recent offer from Auburn, but the opportunity in Starkville was too good to pass up.
Morris is the No. 871 overall prospect in the 2026 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks as the nation’s No. 80 defensive lineman and the No. 30 recruit in the state of Alabama.
