Egg Bowl: Live updates, score, highlights
Ole Miss needs some madness this week to crack the 12-team College Football Playoff. But before the Rebels can worry about seeding and making the postseason, they have to win the Egg Bowl and get through Mississippi State.
The rivalry started in 1901 and has been played every year since 1944, with Ole Miss winning three of the last four. The Rebels lost last week at Florida. Ranked No. 14 in the College Football Playoff rankings, Ole Miss is 8-3 and needs Vanderbilt to upset Tennessee and for Penn State or Indiana to lose. Alabama ranked ahead of them in the CFP rankings at No. 13.
