Mississippi State will get Alabama 5-star WR Caleb Cunningham back on campus this weekend
Jeff Lebby and the Mississippi State Bulldogs gave Georgia a game in Athens last weekend and they will look to build on that performance this weekend at home against Texas A&M.
They will play in front of many top recruits this weekend, and one expected to be back in Starkville is five-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham. The in-state playmaker is committed to Alabama, but he continues to take visits to other schools. He has already taken in games at Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss and Mississippi State this season.
The Bulldogs have not given up on the No. 18 prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking. Lebby is still communicating with Cunningham. Chad Bumphis has a strong relationship with him.
“They’re on me hard,” Cunningham told On3. “Coach Lebby, coach Bump, coach [Benton] Duby and coach Rob Gibson. They make me feel really special.”
Cunningham is close to home, so he has easy access to the program in Starkville. He was last there for the tough loss against Toledo, but he still has his eye on them and he is ready to get back.

“I love their hospitality. I love how they take a lot of shots down the field in their offense and it is nice that is right down the road for me.”
Mississippi State is still working to get an official visit from Cunningham, but he has not decided on that yet.
Mississippi State will have other recruits committed to other schools on campus too. Caleb Bell is committed to Arkansas and he is one to watch. Auburn commit Spencer Dowland is on the visitor list as well. More on the group of recruits expected here.
