2026 safety D'Montae Tims commits to Missouri

Seffner (Fla.) Armwood three-star safety D’Montae Tims has committed to Missouri, he announced on Friday.
He chose the Tigers while also holding offers from the likes of UCF, Louisville, Iowa, Kansas State, Ole Miss and Michigan State.
Tims is the No. 874 overall prospect and No. 82 safety in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 121 player in Florida.
The 6-foot-1, 195-pounder was in Columbia earlier this week and has now joined the fold, giving head coach Eli Drinkwitz and the Mizzou staff two commitments in the class. Little Rock (Ark.) Maumelle four-star defensive lineman Anthony Kennedy pledged in December.
Tims plays on both sides of the ball for Armwood, one of the top Florida high school football programs. The Hawks went 12-1 in 2024 and finished as the No. 13 team in the state, per the On3 Composite Rankings.

Mizzou working to ink another Top-20 recruiting class
Drinkwitz and Co. made some noise on the recruiting trail last cycle, signing the nation’s No. 16 class in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. The class was headlined by four top-200 overall prospects.
Cocoa (Fla.) four-star EDGE Javion Hilson finished as the No. 55 recruit and No. 6 EDGE in the cycle. Royersford (Pa.) Spring-Ford four-star quarterback Matt Zollers, the class jewel, was the first to commit to Mizzou last April. He closed as the nation’s No. 10 signal-caller.
Naperville (Ill.) IMG Academy four-star wide receiver Donovan Olugbode committed in July, while Cleveland Heights four-star running back Marquise Davis flipped from Kentucky just a couple of days before the December signing period. Davis ranked as On3’s No. 5 RB.
Other top 2025 signees headed to Columbia include: Ironton (Ohio) four-star WR Shaun Terry, Canton (Ohio) McKinley four-star linebacker Dante McClellan, Fort Worth (Texas) North Crowley four-star interior offensive lineman Henry Fenuku and Saint Louis East St. Louis three-star safety Charles Bass.
