Missouri OT commit Lamont Rogers is new 5-star in updated On3 Industry Ranking
After the latest rankings updates from other recruiting services, Mesquite (Texas) Horn offensive tackle Lamont Rogers is now a five-star prospect in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Rogers, a Missouri commit, is now the No. 29 overall prospect in the cycle and is one of 32 five-star recruits in the class. He’s now also the No. 5 OT and No. 9 player in Texas in the senior class. The 6-foot-7, 305-pounder has been committed to the Tigers since July 6.
“The coaching staff, they’re great. They’re really cool. Also, Missouri has a winning culture,” Rogers told On3 earlier this year.
Texas A&M is currently trending to flip Rogers, however, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. On3’s Steve Wiltfong logged a pick in favor of the Aggies on Oct. 5, and according to On3’s Chad Simmons, the in-state school has the most buzz entering the end of the month.
As of Oct. 23, though, Rogers is now one of two five-stars committed to Eli Drinkwitz and Mizzou, flanking Royersford (Pa.) Spring-Ford five-star quarterback Matt Zollers. The Tigers’ class ranks No. 17 in the nation and No. 9 in the SEC, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Rogers stands out amidst an elite OL group
Back in the spring, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power stated that the 2025 offensive line group was on track to be one of the best ever. Rogers, who also dominates on the basketball court, is one of the names that has continued to stand out, and his ranking reflects that.
“In my years of evaluating high school prospects, and even following recruiting, I can’t recall a cycle as flush with top offensive line talent, particularly prior to the senior season,” Power wrote. “While the influx of talent varies cycle to cycle, at least a good bit of the improved hit rate can be credited to improvements in evaluating and projecting the position. That includes understanding physical and athletic thresholds that we see in top NFL Draft picks at the position along with position-specific factors like the developmental nature of offensive linemen and the types of qualities and skills to look for on film. Given what we know and have learned about the position, the 2025 group has a multitude of prospects that project at a high level in college football and beyond.
“Lamont Rogers (6-foot-6.5, 310, 35-inch arm), Damola Ajidahun (6-foot-6.5, 280, 36-inch arm) and Malachi Goodman (6-foot-5.5, 315, 34+ inch arm) have high end measureables.”
