Missouri freshman Sean Durugordon, a 6-foot-6 forward, announced his intentions to transfer from the program in January.

“After discussing with my family, I’ve decided to enter my name into the transfer portal,” Durugordon said in a Twitter post. “Thank you Mizzou for everything. Looking forward to what the future holds.”

The Queens, New York native saw limited action this season, playing just over five minutes per outing. Struggling to find consistent minutes, he averaged just over three points a game, shooting 35% from the field.

Since entering the portal, several schools have reached out to Durugordon.

“Xavier, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Arizona State, USF, Cincinnati, Loyola-Chicago, and Pacific have interest,” Durugordon said via text.

Durugordon graduated high school early and enrolled as a freshman in the second semester of the 2020-21 academic year. In his junior year of high school at Canterbury School, Durugordon averaged 23 points and 11.5 rebounds per game while shooting 44 percent from three-point range. He went on to attend Putnam Science Academy for a semester as a senior before graduating and heading to Missouri early.

Previously considered a three-star prospect, Durugordon received 20+ scholarship offers before landing in Columbia. Auburn, Georgia, Seton Hall, and others extended scholarships prior to Durugordon choosing Missouri.
