The biggest day on the recruiting calendar has arrived for the 2025 class: National Signing Day.

Prospects across the country will sign with the schools of their choice, with many set to enroll early for the spring semester. But there’s still plenty of excitement to come with commitments, flips and more unexpected news in the next few days.

On3 is providing wall-to-wall coverage with live updates, news, notes and the latest intel from our team of national and school-specific recruiting experts. Track the movement on the class rankings throughout the day on the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings page. Also keep up with the latest expert projections on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

Five-Star Plus+ OT makes it official with Oklahoma

12/04/2024 04:22:37 PM

After announcing earlier in the day that he would stick with his commitment to Oklahoma and sign with the Sooners, Five-Star Plus+ OT Michael Fasusi is officially in the Sooners’ class, the school announced around 4:20 pm CT.

Elite Georgia Tech OL commit has yet to sign

12/04/2024 04:15:10 PM

As of 4:15 p.m. CT, high four-star offensive lineman and Georgia Tech commit Josh Petty has yet to sign his financial aid papers with the Yellow Jackets, per On3’s Chad Simmons.

Petty is a top-50 prospect nationally in the class and is a huge need for Brent Key and Co. to keep at home after losing four-star tackle Damola Ajidahun to South Carolina earlier today.

According to Simmons, a handful of schools have been in contact with Petty’s camp today.

Florida State making a late charge for recent UF decommit

12/04/2024 04:12:21 PM

One of the most pleasant surprises of the day has been Florida State, which held onto a number of key commits and flipped four-stars Ousmane Kromah (Georgia) and Jayvan Boggs (UCF).

And they may not be done yet.

They also are now the heavy favorite for four-star tight end Tae’shaun Gelsey, who parted ways with Florida earlier this afternoon. According to GatorsOnline’s Keith Neiebuhr, Gelsey wants to play WR at the next level and the ‘Noles plan to let him do that.

No. 1 recruit Bryce Underwood signs with Michigan

12/04/2024 03:57:26 PM

The Wolverines pulled off the biggest shocker of the cycle by flipping Underwood, the nation’s top quarterback and overall prospect, from LSU. On Wednesday, he made that official by signing with U-M, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.

Auburn holds onto 4-star CB Donovan Starr

12/04/2024 03:12:14 PM

While Hugh Freeze and his staff pursued Five-Star Plus+ CB Na’eem Offord, other schools took aim at the Tigers’ own commit, Donovan Starr.

Vanderbilt and Alabama were the two biggest threats, but AU stemmed the tide and Starr announced he will stick with that commitment and sign. Maybe not the big splash Auburn fans were hoping for, but he is a key piece in a very good secondary class.

Arkansas flips 4-star QB from UCLA

12/04/2024 03:07:26 PM

There have been some surprises on this signing day, but maybe none bigger than four-star UCLA quarterback commit Madden Iamaleava flipping his pledge to UCLA.

Prior to today, the Razorbacks didn’t seem to be a factor in his recruitment. But he visited for the team’s game against Tennessee, according to On3’s Steve Wiltfong. And now he joins up with Sam Pittman and Co. as they look to turn their fortunes around in 2025.

Five-Star Plus+ OT Michael Fasusi sticks with OU over SEC rivals

12/04/2024 02:43:48 PM

After a lot of drama over the final few weeks of his recruitment — including visits to bitter rivals Texas and Texas A&M — Michael Fasusi’s announcement on Wednesday had none of it. The Five-Star Plus+ offensive tackle out of Lewisville (Texas) said he plans to sign with the Sooners and will be announced soon by the program.

It’s a massive win for Brent Venables and his staff after a rough season on the field, as well as a press conference where he insinuated that recruits who visited other schools weren’t considered committed to his program.

Brian Kelly unhappy with NIL recruiting era

12/04/2024 02:18:36 PM

In a unsurprising turn of events, LSU head coach Brian Kelly hasn’t been thrilled with the new era of recruiting and NIL. The Tigers lost a pair of five-star commitments in the final month before signing day, including No. 1 overall recruit Bryce Underwood.

During his press conference on Wednesday, Kelly didn’t hold back about the decisions made by prospects who were reportedly offered the most money elsewhere. According to multiple reports, Underwood was offered in the range of $12 million over four years by Michigan, the school he ultimately flipped his commitment to on November 20.

DJ Pickett sticks with LSU over Florida, Miami and others

12/04/2024 02:10:01 PM

After seeing five-star cornerback Kade Phillips and Five-Star Plus+ QB Bryce Underwood flip over the past month, LSU had to keep Five-Star Plus+ CB DJ Pickett in its class.

Brian Kelly and Co. did exactly that, holding off Miami, Florida, Oregon and a host of others.

Oregon continues to dominate Signing Day under Dan Lanning

12/04/2024 02:04:49 PM

There are some great recruiters across the country, but you’d be hard-pressed to find one better than Dan Lanning at Oregon. When it’s closing time, no one is better.

Since 2022, he has landed on Signing Day or after: Five-Star Plus+ CB Na’eem Offord, five-star QB Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele, five-star receiver Gatlin Bair, and four-stars Jeremiah McClellan, Ryan Pellum, Matayo Uiagalelei, Daylen Austin, Jericho Johnson and Austin Novosad, among others.

And you can add four-star EDGE Tobi Haastrup to the list as well after his decision on Wednesday afternoon.

Ohio State holds onto coveted linebacker Tarvos Alford

12/04/2024 01:48:05 PM

Ohio State suffered a big loss when Five-Star Plus+ cornerback Na’eem Offord flipped to Oregon, and the Buckeyes were in danger of losing four-star linebacker Tarvos Alford, too.

Jim Knowles and Co. were ultimately able to hold on though, keeping one of the nation’s most productive defensive players in the fold.

USC flips Colorado commit

12/04/2024 01:44:47 PM

Lincoln Riley and Co. got a big win by landing five-star defensive lineman Jahkeem Stewart, and less than hour later they have flipped three-star cornerback Alex Graham from Colorado.

Florida State nabs two major flip targets

12/04/2024 01:33:21 PM

After a few tough months on the field — and the recruiting trail — Florida State desperately needed some good news. They’ve gotten it so far on signing day with a couple of big flips at positions of need.

Four-star running back Ousmane Kromah jumped from Georgia’s class to FSU’s, and he was soon followed by four-star wideout Jayvan Boggs flipping from UCF to the ‘Noles.

All eyes now are on five-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas and whether he will stick with Norvell and Co. or flip to LSU or potentially Florida.

Missouri gets its big fish

12/04/2024 01:19:30 PM

Few programs have been hotter over the past week than Missouri, with the Tigers adding four-stars DaMarion Fowlkers (Pitt flip) and four-star running backs Brendon Haygood (Boise State) and Marquise Davis (Kentucky).

And despite losing five-star offensive tackle Lamont Rogers, they didn’t drop at all in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. They countered with a huge win on Wednesday, beating out Texas A&M, Michigan and others for top-50 prospect Javion Hilson.

The former Alabama and Florida State pledge is the No. 4 pass-rusher in the class.

Miami looking for a flip in the final hours

12/04/2024 01:09:18 PM

The Hurricanes haven’t had as strong of a close as they might’ve hoped, but one prospect remains very much in play. According to On3’s Steve Wiltfong and Chad Simmons, there is confidence that they can ultimately flip four-star linebacker Tarvos Alford from Ohio State.

Ducks signee making his pitch to a few other prospects

12/04/2024 12:34:26 PM

Oregon Five-Star Plus+ receiver signee Dakorien Moore inked with the Ducks this morning, but he is putting on his recruiter hat this afternoon.

Moore tweeted at both five-star DL Jahkeem Stewart and four-star tight end Andrew Olesh, encouraging them to choose the Ducks.

Oregon pulls off a pair of 5-star shockers

12/04/2024 11:21:33 AM

There are few coaches who close on the recruiting trail like Dan Lanning, and Wednesday was another example of that. In addition to holding off Florida to keep 5-star wideout Dallas Wilson in the class, Oregon flipped On3 five-star quarterback Jaron Keawe-Sagapolutele from Cal and Five-Star Plus+ CB Na’eem Offord from Auburn within minutes of each other.

Offord left plenty of intrigue until the final second, appearing behind a projector screen with an Auburn hat on before tossing into the crowd and putting on an Oregon one.

The addition of those two pushes the Ducks to No. 2 nationally in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Majority of nation’s five-stars are signed

12/04/2024 11:10:03 AM

As we hit noon on the East Coast, the vast majority of the five-star recruits who came into the day committed are now signed. Among those still outstanding are: QB Bryce Underwood (Michigan), QB Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele (Cal), DL Elijah Griffin (Georgia), OT David Sanders Jr. (Tennessee), EDGE Isaiah Gibson (Georgia), CB DJ Pickett (LSU).

Uncommitted five-star DL Jahkeem Stewart is set to announce his decision around 1pm ET.

Ole Miss looking to add a coveted receiver target

12/04/2024 10:53:51 AM

Lane Kiffin and the Rebels are hoping to add to their stable of wide receivers, and they’re trending for four-star Winston Watkins ahead of his decision.

Multiple picks have gone in Ole Miss’ favor this morning. Watkins has previously been committed to both Texas A&M and Colorado.

Change of plans for Auburn 4-star CB commit

12/04/2024 10:34:52 AM

After initially planning to wait until Friday to announce his final decision between Auburn, Alabama and Vanderbilt, four-star cornerback Donovan Starr tells On3’s Chad Simmons he will instead go public on Wednesday.

Starr is committed to the Tigers, but has taken a long look at both of the other programs. As of last night, Alabama was considered the slight favorite to land him.

Oregon gaining steam with Five-Star Plus+ CB

12/04/2024 10:25:33 AM

While Auburn has been seen as the biggest threat to flip Five-Star Plus+ CB Na’eem Offord, in the 11th hour there is plenty of momentum behind Oregon, according to On3’s Chad Simmons and Steve Wiltfong.

The Ducks have long been a dark horse in this one. There is less confidence around the Tigers’ staff than there was a few hours ago, according to On3’s Chad Simmons.

Latest intel on Five-Star Plus+ OT David Sanders

12/04/2024 10:14:32 AM

There has been no shortage of excitement around Five-Star Plus+ offensive tackle and Tennessee commit David Sanders in recent weeks. He took a late visit to Ohio State a few weeks ago, then was expected back in Columbus for the Michigan game. But ultimately he didn’t show for that.

The latest buzz has been around him sticking with the Volunteers, but it it is possible he will not sign Wednesday, according to On3’s Steve Wiltfong. Sanders has yet to submit his paperwork, and head coach Josh Heupel’s press conference is set for 1:30 p.m. and if he can discuss Sanders.

Regardless, Sources indicate it’s nothing to worry about regarding his commitment to the Vols. His high school coach, Chad Grier, told Wiltfong that Sanders plans to have his signing ceremony next week with other teammates.

“We have four kids doing it, and it worked out best with everyone’s schedule,” said Grier. “I think everyone is signing today and doing recognition next Tuesday.”

Tough decision ahead for 4-star TE Andrew Olesh

12/04/2024 09:54:44 AM

Four-star Michigan tight end commit Andrew Olesh is set to sign on Friday is still deciding between Michigan, Oregon and Penn State.

“He’s still undecided,” Olesh’s father George told On3’s Steve Wiltfong. “He slept on it. He’s at school right now. He’s not giving any indication at this point. I feel there is probably 25 percent chance or better for all three schools depending on the school.”

A decision is expected Wednesday or Thursday with the signing on Friday.

“I told him to not feel pressured to make a decision because his announcement is Friday,” Olesh’s father added. “I’m letting him go, and there was additional information I got this morning. I think he’s processing everything. It’s real close for all three schools.”

Washington gets a blue-chip wideout

12/04/2024 09:47:00 AM

The Huskies have been quiet on the trail this year, but got a big addition on Wednesday when four-star wideout Marcus Harris announced his commitment.

Harris was a pledge to Oklahoma since the summer, but the two sides parted ways earlier this week, and Washington jumped on the chance to add him to their class.

Miami pulls off a shocker

12/04/2024 09:26:39 AM

Mario Cristobal and Co. have taken some hits down the stretch of this class, but got a major win on Wednesday when four-star Tampa (Fla.) Armwood linebacker Kellen Wiley chose the Hurricanes.

Texas had been considered the heavy favorite heading into his announcement, but Miami is keeping the No. 7 linebacker in the country.

He has been considering multiple schools but the Gamecocks and USC are the favorites down the stretch.

12/04/2024 08:24:07 AM
