National Signing Day: Biggest Winners

As we wrap up another highly-anticipated signing day, here are the top 50 recruiting classes in the 2025 cycle.

1. Texas — 93.735

3 five-stars | 14 four-stars | 7 three-stars | 24 total commits
Top Commit: Galveston (Texas) Ball Five-Star Plus+ safety Jonah Williams, No. 11 NATL. (No. 1 S).

Texas launched up to the top spot in the rankings on National Signing Day by landing San Antonio Alamo Heights top-50 athlete Michael Terry III. The Longhorns also fended off a challenge for elite wide receiver Jaime Ffrench

A trio of five-star prospects lead the way for UT: safety Jonah Williams, EDGE Lance Jackson and wide receiver Kaliq Lockett.

Four-star quarterback K.J. Lacey is the signal-caller for the group, and besides Lockett and Ffrench, will have top-150 tight end Nick Townsend and top-150 receiver Daylan McCutcheon on the outside. Defensively, the Longhorns have also landed elite cornerback Kade Phillips and top-100 recruits Elijah Barnes, Graceson Littleton, Smith Orogbo and Myron Charles.

2. Alabama — 93.696

4 five-stars | 14 four-stars | 4 three-stars | 22 total commits
Top Commit: Duncanville (Texas) Five-Star Plus+ QB Keelon Russell, No. 2 NATL. (No. 2 QB).

After a relatively calm morning and midday for the Tide, Alabama flipped top-150 wide receiver Derek Meadows away from LSU to add another pass-catching talent for elite quarterback Keelon Russell.

Since Russell flipped from SMU to Alabama in June, he has launched himself up the rankings with a stellar camp cycle and senior season. Alongside the No. 2 quarterback in the class, the Tide have set up their future offense with talents like five-star OL Michael Carroll, five-star OT Ty Haywood, elite OT Jackson Lloyd, top-100 RB Akylin Dear and more.

The defensive side of the ball doesn’t look to shabby, either. Five-star cornerback Dijon Lee is one of the top defensive backs in the class. Buckeye State EDGE Justin Hill chose Alabama over Ohio State, and four-star safety Ivan Taylor flipped away from Michigan in November.

3. Oregon — 93.659

4 five-stars | 15 four-stars | 2 three-stars | 21 total commits
Top Commit: Duncanville (Texas) Five-Star Plus+ WR Dakorien Moore, No. 4 NATL. (No. 1 WR).

Oregon had the biggest day of all, skipping a handful of teams with multiple impact commitments. On National Signing Day, the Ducks flipped Five-Star Plus+ CB Na’eem Offord away from Ohio State and On3 five-star quarterback Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele away from Cal-Berkeley. Oregon also picked up four-star edge rusher Tobi Haastrup.

Oregon has a pair of elite playmakers at the top of its 2025 class with the No. 1 and No. 2 wide receivers: Dakorien Moore and Dallas Wilson. Legacy quarterback Akili Smith Jr. is a top-250 recruit, as is Mater Dei running back Jordon Davison.

On defense, the Ducks landed five-star safety Trey McNutt and elite cornerbacks Brandon Finney and Dorian Brew. Notables along the offensive line include top-100 IOL Douglas Utu and four-star OT Ziyare Addison.

4. Georgia — 93.246

4 five-stars | 20 four-stars | 3 three-stars | 27 total commits
Top Commit: Pooler (Ga.) Savannah Christian Prep Five-Star Plus+ DL Elijah Griffin, No. 5 NATL. (No. 1 DL).

Georgia did not add any new commitments on National Signing Day. Top-100 running back Ousmane Kromah flipped to Florida State.

Georgia’s 2025 class is headlined by a pair of elite defensive linemen. Five-Star Plus+ defensive lineman Elijah Griffin committed on Oct. 18 and Five-Star Plus+ edge rusher Isaiah Gibson has been in the class since June 24. Others on that side of the ball are five-star linebacker Zayden Walker, top-100 EDGE Darren Ikinnagbon and four-star EDGE Chase Linton.

A pair of quarterbacks are committed to the ‘Dawgs in four-star Ryan Montgomery and three-star Hezekiah Millender. They are surrounded by five-star wide receiver Talyn Taylor, elite tight end Elyiss Williams and top-100 wideout CJ Wiley.

5. Ohio State — 93.908

2 five-stars | 18 four-stars | 6 three-stars | 26 total commits
Top Commit: Bellefontaine (Ohio) Five-Star Plus+ QB Tavien St. Clair, No. 3 NATL. (No. 3 QB).

Ohio State lost Five-Star Plus+ CB Na’eem Offord to Oregon but did still manage to pick up a pair of blue-chip signees: four-star running back Anthony Rogers and four-star EDGE Epi Sitanilei. Rogers was a onetime Alabama commit and Sitanilei flipped his pledge from UCLA.

In-state quarterback Tavien St. Clair committed to Ohio State all the way back in June 2023. An impressive camp circuit and senior season have seen him skyrocket up the rankings to No. 3 overall in the 2025 class. Wide receiver Quincy Porter is a five-star prospect in the On300 and Buckeye State running back Bo Jackson provides some explosiveness out of the backfield.

The defense is headlined by one of the best defensive backs in America: Five-Star Plus+ corner Devin Sanchez. Top-50 linebacker Riley Pettijohn, top-100 safety Faheem Delane and top-100 EDGE Zion Grady also add some power on the defensive side of the ball for the Buckeyes.

6. Michigan — 92.438

2 five-stars | 14 four-stars | 7 three-stars | 23 total commits
Top Commit: Belleville (Mich.) Five-Star Plus+ QB Bryce Underwood, No. 1 NATL. (No. 1 QB).

Michigan’s electric month of November meant the Wolverines could mostly sit back and relax on National Signing Day. The Maize and Blue did pick up two commitments in four-star linebacker Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng and three-star EDGE Travis Moten.

Michigan pulled off the biggest flip of the cycle on Nov. 21 when the Wolverines took No. 1 overall player Bryce Underwood back from LSU to keep hin in the Mitten State. Underwood will be protected by five-star offensive tackle Andrew Babalola and have the No. 3 tight end in America, Andrew Olesh, to throw to.

Speaking of flips, top-100 defensive lineman Nate Marshall returned to the class after previously flipping to Auburn. Top-100 corner Shamari Earls flipped from Georgia, and safety Kainoa Winston is a top-10 player at his position.

7. Auburn — 92.376

1 five-star | 14 four-stars | 10 three-stars | 25 total commits
Top Commit: Lucedale (Miss.) George County five-star QB Deuce Knight, No. 27 NATL. (No. 5 QB).

Auburn was thought to be in a pretty good spot for a couple of top-100 flips heading into National Signing Day. Those did not pan out, but the Tigers flipped three-star defensive lineman Darrion Smith from Tennessee.

After working long and hard to flip five-star quarterback Deuce Knight away from Notre Dame, Auburn finally pulled off the coup on Oct. 2. Knight is joined in the top-100 by several defensive Tigers commits, including elite EDGE Jared Smith, four-star safety Anquon Fegans, four-star safety Eric Winters and four-star DL Malik Autry.

In-state running back Alvin Henderson is one of just 12 high school football players to ever rush for 10,000 yards in a career. Other notable Yellowhammer State commits include top-100 athlete Derick Smith, four-star linebacker Jakaleb Faulk and four-star defensive linemen Antonio Coleman and Jourdin Crawford.

8. LSU — 92.294

3 five-stars | 16 four-stars | 4 three-stars | 23 total commits
Top Commit: Zephyrhills (Fla.) Five-Star Plus+ CB DJ Pickett, No. 10 NATL. (No. 2 CB).

Although LSU lost the No. 1 overall recruit, Bryce Underwood, in late November — the Tigers had a decent National Signing Day. Most notably, they held onto Five-Star Plus+ cornerback DJ Pickett. LSU also flipped five-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas away from Florida State.

Pickett leads the way in this class along with the nation’s best running back, Harlem Berry.

Usually heavy on in-state recruits, LSU recruited outside of the state borders well this cycle — landing Arkansas IOL Carius Curne, Texas linebacker Charles Ross, Georgia linebacker Jaiden Braker and Indiana EDGE Damien Shanklin in the top 150.

9. Texas A&M — 92.201

2 five-stars | 16 four-stars | 7 three-stars | 25 total commits
Top Commit: Mesquite (Texas) Horn five-star OT Lamont Rogers, No. 18 NATL. (No. 4 OT).

Texas A&M was one of the winners on National Signing Day, being one of the few to bring a new five-star into the class. Five-star wide receiver Jerome Myles flipped his commitment from USC to the Aggies, becoming the second five-star to join the group.

Just ahead of National Signing Day, Texas A&M landed five-star offensive tackle and former Mizzou commit Lamont Rogers on Dec. 3. Rogers will be in charge of protecting four-star quarterback Brady Hart, who flipped from Michigan and reclassified to 2025 at the end of November.

Making up a stout defensive class for the Aggies are top-100 corner Adonyss Currie, top-100 DL DJ Sanders and top-100 cornerback Jamar Beal-Goines. Notable in-state commits include four-star tight end Kiotti Armstrong, four-star receiver Kelshaun Johnson and four-star IOL Nelson McGuire and Marcus Garcia, among others.

10. Tennessee — 91.399

1 five-star | 15 four-stars | 10 three-stars | 26 total commits
Top Commit: Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day School Five-Star Plus+ OT David Sanders Jr., No. 6 NATL. (No. 1 OT).

Tennessee lost a pair of three-star commits on NSD (Darrion Smith to Auburn, Shamar Arnoux to FSU), but the Vols made some splashes elsewhere. Three new prospects joined the class on Wednesday: top-50 DL Isaiah Campbell, four-star linebacker Jadon Perlotte and three-star safety Timothy Merritt.

Back in August, Tennessee landed David Sanders Jr. — the No. 1 offensive tackle in the 2025 class. Sanders, alongside Nic Moore and Antoni Kade Ogumoro, will be in charge of blocking for top-150 quarterback George MacIntyre.

Weapons for MacIntyre include top-100 receiver Travis Smith, top-100 tight end DaSaahn Brame and four-star wideout Radarious Jackson. Others from the Volunteer State besides MacIntyre include DL Ethan Utley, Jackson, Moore, linebacker Brenden Anes, receiver Joakim Dodson and running back Daune Morris.
