National Signing Day has once again brought plenty of twists and surprises.

Blue-chippers across the country have put pen to paper, with some flipping their commitments, and some sticking, making for plenty of movement in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. 28 of the 32 five-stars in the On3 Industry Rankings are now officially signed.

On3 takes a look at the biggest winners coming out of another hectic National Signing Day:

Oregon flips pair of 5-stars, gets another to stick

No program had a better Wednesday than Oregon. Dan Lanning and his staff have made a habit out of closing recruiting cycles strong and that was once again the case for the Class of 2025.

After an intense push across the last two months, the Ducks won out for Ewa Beach (Hi.) James Campbell quarterback Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele, flipping the left-hander away from Cal. He is the No. 19 recruit and No. 4 QB in the On300.

Not long after, the biggest decision of the day went in favor of the Ducks. Birmingham (Ala.) Parker Five-Star Plus+ cornerback Na’eem Offord was committed to Ohio State for over 10 months, but he too is set to head to Eugene. The No. 12 recruit and No. 2 CB chose Oregon over the Buckeyes and in-state Auburn.

Wednesday began with good news for Oregon, too. Tampa Bay Tech five-star wide receiver Dallas Wilson has long been pledged to the Ducks, but Florida pushed hard across the last few weeks, getting him to campus multiple times. The Gators looked to have momentum at one point, but Wilson inked with the Big Ten program early, putting flip talks to bed.

“You look at the day and you’re like, ‘what was the biggest shocker for Oregon, or what was the biggest moment? And it’s even hard to pinpoint that, because they just had so many huge wins,” On3’s Steve Wiltfong said. “Keeping Dallas Wilson in the fold, landing Na’eem Offord when they were considered a dark horse at best. Landing Sagapolutele, who’s camp said that he was leaning towards staying with Cal just the day before.

Not to be forgotten, Houston Mayde Creek four-star EDGE Tobi Haastrup also committed to the Ducks on Wednesday, choosing them over Missouri. He’s the nation’s No. 296 recruit and adds to a class that now ranks No. 2 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

“This has become the regular with Oregon closing, doing what they do. Kids want to play in Eugene and they want to play for Dan Landing and that staff in Eugene. They love the flash, they love the uniforms, they love the program, they love the toughness they love their relationships and the trajectory of the of where they’re at,” On3’s Chad Simmons said. “The Ducks are 12-0, going to the conference championship game. They recruit like their 0-12, not 12-0. Dan Lanning learn from guys like Nick Saban and Kirby Smart, who are the best to do it, and he’s taking his own twist on things he’s learned along the way to make Oregon one of the best in the country on the trail.”

“I just think this is a coaching staff that’s relentless,” Wiltfong added. “Whenever it might have seemed like something’s going against them, they found a way to turn the tide back towards the Ducks. They have a chance to finish with the No. 1 class in the country.”

Texas lands top in-state target to move to No. 1 in team rankings

Texas added just one piece to the puzzle on Wednesday, but it was a big one.

The Longhorns had to battle Nebraska until the end for San Antonio Alamo Heights four-star athlete Michael Terry III, but he opted to stay home and not head to Lincoln. The addition of the nation’s No. 44 recruit bumped Texas up to the top spot of the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

“Texas has a terrific class, and Michael Terry was the number one athlete in the country. That brings a lot of position versatility that you see coach Sarkesian and just how he finds the right way to scheme his playmakers the ball. It’s an exciting marriage between the two of them,” Wiltfong said.

Perhaps more important for Steve Sarkisian and his staff are the prospects that didn’t flip away from Austin. Both Jacksonville Mandarin four-star WR Jaime Ffrench and Port Charlotte (Fla.) four-star defensive lineman Myron Charles were major flip targets for Florida but did not swerve to the in-state school. Sacramento Folsom four-star DL Josiah Sharma spurned in-state USC and signed with UT, too.

“Texas retaining Jaime Ffrench, retaining Myron Charles and Josiah Sharma, those are guys that were at the top of their board that will keep them competitive for years to come,” Wiltfong added.

On Tuesday, Missouri City (Texas) Hightower On3 five-star CB Kade Phillips flipped back to the Longhorns from LSU. Phillips, along with five-stars Jonah Williams, Lance Jackson and Kaliq Lockett all signed on Wednesday.

USC lands top uncommitted recruit, Texas A&M adds two 5-stars

USC recruiting was a rollercoaster all year long, but the Trojans are still coming away with a pair of five-star signees. New Orleans Edna Karr five-star DL Jahkeem Stewart inked with Lincoln Riley and Co. on Wednesday, choosing the West Coast school over LSU, Ohio State and Oregon. The nation’s No. 16 recruit, Stewart headlines the USC class alongside five-star QB Husan Longstreet.

“This is a huge win for Lincoln Riley and Eric Henderson,” Simmons said. “Things really changed on the official visit, USC had to come from behind a little bit — we thought at that point that Oregon, Ohio State and even LSU were ahead going into that OV. Those 48 hours proved to be very critical in changing this race. To go out there and get a guy from Louisiana, born and raised in SEC country, that’s big for the Trojans. They’re trying to build in in the trenches and Stewart is going to be a guy that can get in there, play and compete early, so it’s massive for USC.”

Texas A&M landed Mesquite (Texas) Horn five-star offensive tackle and former Missouri commit Lamont Rogers on Tuesday. West Jordan (Utah) Corner Canyon five-star WR Jerome Myles joined the fold just 24 hours later. Myles decommitted from USC at the beginning of the month and was originally going to push his recruitment back, but quickly signed with the Aggies this morning.

Both Myles and Rogers are the No. 4 players at their respective positions. Tuesday also saw A&M flip Germantown (Tenn.) Melrose four-star running back Jamarion Morrow, the nation’s No. 20 RB from Mizzou.

“Those are huge wins for Texas A&M,” Wiltfong said. “Morrow and Myles make the Aggies a lot more dynamic on offense. Morrow can do a lot of things and Myles is as physically-gifted a wide receiver as there is in the country. Not to mention Lamont Rogers, who is as athletic an offensive lineman as there is in the country.”

The Aggies now have the No. 9 class in the nation in Mike Elko’s first full cycle in College Station.

“This Texas A&M staff is showing that they can get after it on the trail. Mike Elko and his staff have the chops to go toe-to-toe in recruiting battles and compete for top classes — and they’re already an early contender for the number one class in 2026.”

South Carolina flips its way into Top 20 of recruiting rankings

South Carolina began the day with the nation’s No. 24 recruiting class. It’s set to finish Wednesday inside the top 20, thanks to four commitments.

“A methodical day for Shane Beamer and his staff,” Wiltfong said. “Another top-20 class in Columbia where they close out on some of their top guys.”

Macon (Ga.) four-star DL Zavion Hardy is the top-ranked JUCO prospect and was committed to Mississippi State for just over two months. He was the first of three to flip to Shane Beamer and Co. and he also now headlines the Gamecocks’ class.

Covington (Ga.) Newton three-star DL Christian Ingram was down to South Carolina, USC and a couple of others heading into his Wednesday decision. He chose the SEC school, citing Beamer as a big reason why. Columbia (S.C.) Hammond three-star tight end Mike Tyler then decided to stay home, flipping to the hometown team from LSU.

Perhaps the biggest win of the day for SC came via Duluth (Ga.) four-star OT Damola Ajidahun, who swerved in-state Georgia Tech to flip to the Gamecocks. The 6-foot-5.5, 295-pounder is the No. 19 OT in the nation.

“They’re trying to elevate South Carolina football,” Wiltfong said. “They win nine games this year, they flirt with the College Football Playoff. They hope that’s just the beginning and this is a recruiting class that can help them compete for what they really want — which is ultimately that CFP berth.”

South Carolina has now signed nearly all 25 of its commits, compiling a class that ranks No. 19 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
