The big day is here — National Signing Day is here.

The majority of the country’s top football recruits will sign with their school of choice over the next (roughly) 72 hours. More than 90 percent of the top-300 prospects in the On3 Industry Ranking — including all 32-five stars — are already committed to a school. But that only adds to the potential flips and decommitments we could see, and as it always is, signing day should be long on drama and excitement.

Track the movement on the class rankings throughout the day on the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings page. Also keep up with the latest expert projections on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

On3 is covering it from wall-to-wall, with national reporters and fan sites alike. Follow along with the live blog below for the latest.

Nebraska QB Dylan Raiola looking to flip five-star offensive tackle

Five-star offensive tackle and Colorado commit Jordan Seaton didn’t sign the Buffaloes on Wednesday, and there are many questions remaining about his recruitment. Maryland and Tennessee have both been in touch with Seaton, according to On3’s Chad Simmons.

And late Wednesday night, Seaton told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Instagram Live that his most recent DM was from Nebraska five-star quarterback signee Dylan Raiola.

No. 1 overall prospect signs with Ohio State

Ohio State has announced that Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver and No. 1 overall prospect Jeremiah Smith has signed with the Buckeyes.

Smith announced at 12:30 p.m. ET on National Signing Day that he was sticking with the Buckeyes after Miami pushed hard to flip Smith down the stretch. On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons said that Miami remained in contact with Smith throughout the rest of the day, and the announcement from Ohio State that Smith had signed his National Letter of Intent did not come until 10 p.m. ET.

Ohio State still awaiting NLI from No. 1 overall prospect

As of 8:00 p.m. ET, Ohio State still has not announced that it has received a National Letter of Intent from Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver and No. 1 overall prospect Jeremiah Smith.

Two hours ago, On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons said that Ohio State and Miami were both in communication with Smith, and that the Hurricanes had some confidence the longer this went on. Smith had announced earlier today his intention to stick with the Buckeyes.

Texas flips 4-star LB from Texas A&M

Texas pulled one away from its rival on NSD, flipping Jasper (Texas) four-star linebacker Tyanthony Smith away from Texas A&M.

Smith had been committed to the Aggies since June 30.

Colorado Five-Star Plus+ OT commit will not sign today

Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy Five-Star Plus+ offensive tackle Jordan Seaton will not sign his NLI today, his uncle confirmed to On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons.

Seaton committed to the Buffaloes on December 7, choosing Colorado over the likes of Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Maryland, Ohio State and Oregon. Maryland and Tennessee are among the schools who have been in contact with Seaton on National Signing Day.

Ohio State & Miami both communicating with nation’s top prospect

Ohio State and Miami are both in communication with Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver and No. 1 overall prospect Jeremiah Smith, according to On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons. Simmons says that the Hurricanes have some confidence the longer it goes without it being announced that Smith has officially signed with the Buckeyes.

Smith announced earlier today that he was planning to sign with Ohio State.

Miami flips 5-star DL back from Florida State

Miami Central five-star defensive lineman Armondo Blount has flipped his commitment from Florida State to Miami. Blount was at one time committed to the Hurricanes when he was still a member of the 2025 class.

He flipped his commitment to Florida State on October 22 when he reclassified to the 2024 class. But Miami made another great push down the stretch.

5-star DL sticking with the Gators

Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland five-star defensive lineman LJ McCray has announced that he is signing with the Florida Gators. Auburn made a serious push down the stretch to try to flip McCray away from Gainesville, but was unable to do so.

McCray is the No. 3 overall prospect and No. 1 defensive lineman in the 2024 On300.

Georgia locks up No. 1 spot

For the second time in five years, Georgia has locked up the best recruiting class in the nation. UGA has signed 28 prospects — including three of the 15 highest-ranked in the 2024 cycle, as well as a whopping 19 four-stars. Smart and the Dawgs’ staff added at least one blue-chip recruit to the fold every month this calendar year.

From an absolutely loaded group of defensive linemen, to a stout trio of linebackers and running backs, to the top two defensive backs in the nation, UGA managed to strike every cord this cycle — even signing a top-10 quarterback after losing a commitment from one just two days before NSD.

In total, 21 of the 28 commits are top-300 prospects and range across 10 different positions. Georgia is set to welcome an illustrious group of recruits to Athens.

Aggies make another splash

Tampa Carrollwood Day four-star EDGE Solomon Williams has committed to Texas A&M. Williams is the nation’s No. 186 overall prospect and No. 20 EDGE in the 2024 cycle. Alabama battled the Aggies down the stretch and the race was neck-and-neck heading into National Signing Day. Head coach Mike Elko led the effort for A&M.

“When I was talking with coach Elko, I was able to see how he transformed Duke by making them a real contender and beating Clemson,” Williams told On3. “Also, (defensive line) coach (Sean) Spencer, he’s been recruiting me pretty hard ever since his Florida days. I have relationships with a lot of players up there, even from their No. 1 recruiting class in 2022.”

Texas A&M flips 4-star WR from Florida

Zephyrhills (Fla.) Carrollwood Day four-star wide receiver Izaiah Williams has flipped his commitment from Florida to Texas A&M. He had been committed to the Gators since May 5.

He is the No. 215 prospect in the 2024 On300. The Aggies got Williams on campus late and continued to garner momentum in the lead-up to National Signing Day.

Georgia Tech lands 4-star RB

Tampa Carrollwood Day four-star running back Anthony Carrie has committed to Georgia Tech. Carrie reopened his commitment on November 20, decommitting from Michigan State. He officially visited Georgia Tech on December 9. Carrie is the third blue-chip recruit to pledge to the Yellow Jackets.

“Other than the coaches, I picked Georgia Tech because of their need at the running back position, how I can get on the field early and then the city of Atlanta,” Carrie told On3. “I can do big things with my business, have opportunities for internships and open doors for my brand. It would be great to graduate with a degree from there too. That carries a lot of weight.”

Five-Star Plus+ safety signs with Georgia

Buford (Ga.) Five-Star Plus+ safety KJ Bolden has officially joined the Bulldogs’ 2024 class hours after flipping his commitment to Georgia away from Florida State. Bolden had been committed to the Seminoles since August 5.

Bolden posted on social media that he was “staying home” to make his home state great.

Five-Star Plus+ QB signing with Florida

Willis (Texas) Five-Star Plus+ quarterback DJ Lagway announced on national television that he is signing with the Florida Gators. Lagway committed to Florida in December of 2022. USC and Texas A&M remained in communication with Lagway down the stretch, but it remained all Gators for the elite signal-caller.

“I definitely sent it in, I just can’t wait to be a Gator,” Lagway said on ESPN. “I can’t wait to be coached by Coach Billy Napier, so I’m excited”

Ducks flip blue-chip receiver for second time today

Oregon has flipped the commitment of Long Beach (Calif.) Millikan four-star wide receiver Ryan Pellum away from in-state USC. Pellum had been pledged to the Trojans since June 26. He is the No. 129 overall prospect and No. 25 wideout in the 2024 cycle.

This is the second big splash at wide receiver today for the Ducks. Earlier, they flipped Saint Louis Christian Brothers Academy four-star wide receiver Jeremiah McClellan away from Ohio State.

Georgia Tech flips On3 4-star EDGE from Colorado

Georgia Tech has flipped the commitment of Statesboro (Ga.) On300 4-star EDGE Amontrae Bradford away from Colorado. Bradford initially committed to Colorado on October 9.

On3 ranks Bradford higher than every other major recruiting service. He is the No. 282 overall prospect and No. 30 EDGE in the 2024 On300.

Florida insider logs prediction for Texas A&M to flip 4-star WR from Gators

Florida recruiting insider Corey Bender has logged an expert prediction with an 80% confidence level for Texas A&M to flip Zephyrhills (Fla.) Carrollwood Day four-star wide receiver Izaiah Williams from the Gators.

Williams originally committed to Florida on May 5. He is the No. 215 prospect in the 2024 On300.

Wisconsin lands 4-star DL

Baltimore (Md.) Concordia Prep four-star defensive lineman Ernest Willor has committed to Wisconsin, he told On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons.

He chose the Badgers over Ohio State, Maryland, Miami, Virginia Tech and others. Willor took an official visit to Madison in early December.

Florida picks up On300 4-star DB

Riverview (Fla.) Summer On300 safety Gregory Smith has committed to Florida. Smith is the No. 286 overall prospect and No. 28 safety in the 2024 On300.

Smith took multiple visits to Gainesville this fall and followed up with an official visit in early December. Florida came on late in this recruitment, offering in October, but were able to keep Smith in the state.

Alabama flips nearby 4-star RB from Miami

Tuscaloosa County product and elite 4-star running back Kevin Riley will stay home with Alabama, flipping his commitment away from Miami. Riley is the lone running back committed to the Tide in this cycle.

He officially visited Alabama over the weekend and leaves a Miami class that picked up 4-star running back Jordan Lyle on Monday.

Texas A&M still in contention for Five-Star Plus+ QB

While USC has lost some momentum, Texas A&M is still battling to flip Five-Star Plus+ quarterback DJ Lagway from Florida, according to On3 national recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman.

The Aggies have been working hard to make this happen with just two and a half hours to go until Lagway puts pen to paper.

Auburn flips 4-star DL from Florida

Top-100 defensive lineman Amaris Williams has flipped his commitment from Florida to Auburn. His recruitment was hotly contested down the stretch, with both the Tigers and Ohio State making pushes to flip him away from the Gators.

Williams had been committed to Florida since June 17.

5-star EDGE officially signs with Ohio State

Ohio State has announced that Buford (Ga.) five-star EDGE Eddrick Houston has signed with the Buckeyes. Alabama made a strong push down the stretch to flip the elite pass rusher, but Houston chose to stick with Ohio State.

Miami flips 4-star LB from Florida

4-star linebacker Adarius Hayes has flipped his commitment from Florida to rival Miami. Hayes is the No. 7 linebacker in the On3 Industry Ranking and had been committed to the Gators since January.

Hayes visited Miami after his Florida official visit in June, then visited Coral Gables twice more before flipping his commitment today.

4-star athlete flips from Texas to Alabama

Daingerfield (Texas) four-star athlete Aeryn Hampton has flipped his commitment from Texas to Alabama. He had been committed to Texas since July.

Georgia has flipped Buford (Ga.) Five-Star Plus+ safety KJ Bolden from Florida State. Bolden posted that he was staying home on social media.

Bolden had been committed to the Seminoles since August 5.

Ohio State holds off Alabama for 5-star EDGE

Buford (Ga.) five-star EDGE Eddrick Houston plans to sign with Ohio State. Momentum built for Alabama down the stretch, but Houston will stay with his August 22 pledge.

4-star RB commits to Florida

Decatur (Ga.) Columbia four-star running back Jadan Baugh has committed to Florida. Baugh is an On300 four-star recruit and the No. 21 running back in the 2024 cycle. Baugh decommitted from Arkansas earlier this month.

Ohio State HC Ryan Day reacts to Jeremiah Smith decision

Ohio State head coach Ryan Day learned of No. 1 recruit Jeremiah Smith’s decision to go forward with signing with Ohio State during his National Signing Day press conference.

5-star WR expected to sign with Texas

Saint Louis University five-star wide receiver Ryan Wingo is signing his NLI papers with Texas at this time, according to On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons. Missouri has made a late push to try to keep Wingo home, but it’s looking like Wingo will stick with his October 25 commitment.

Maryland flips South Carolina commit

Maryland kept a recruit home and flipped three-star Charles Herbert Flowers (Md.) cornerback Braydon Lee from South Carolina. Lee had been committed to South Carolina since April 19.

Smith originally committed to Ohio State in December 2022.

Georgia working to flip Five-Star Plus+ safety

On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons says Georgia is the team to watch out for one hour out from Buford (Ga.) Five-Star Plus+ safety KJ Bolden’s final decision. Bolden pledged to Florida State on August 5. The Bulldogs are now trending in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

Alabama trending with elite Florida-based safety

On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons says Alabama is a team trending for Zay Mincey. The plan for Mincey has been to sign during this three day Early Signing Period, and then announce his decision on January 6, 2024 at the All-American Bowl. Mincey will not sign on Wednesday, likely choosing to sign on Thursday instead.

Florida, Miami and Florida State have all been in contention for the safety out of Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland.

Texas expected to hold onto 5-star wide receiver

Reports surfaced of Missouri and Nebraska taking a late stab at flipping Texas 5-star wide receiver commit Ryan Wingo late last night. But after the back and forth, the Longhorns are expected to hold onto Wingo, On3’s Chad Simmons reports.

Wingo is one of three five-star commitments for the Longhorns.

Oregon flips Ohio State 4-star WR commit

Saint Louis Christian Brothers Academy four-star wide receiver Jeremiah McClellan has flipped his commitment from Ohio State to Oregon.

McClellan had been committed to the Buckeyes since August, but a late push from Dan Lanning and his staff in Eugene pushed the Ducks over the finish line.

LSU, Tennessee reportedly set official visits with Texas A&M commit

Five-star Lafayette (La.) Acadiana defensive lineman Dominick McKinley is not signing with Texas A&M during the early period and will take his decision to February. According to 247Sports.com’s Steve Wiltfong, he has scheduled an official visit to Tennessee, in addition to the previously reported official visit to LSU.

McKinley committed to the Aggies on Sept. 1.

Oregon predicted to flip major Ohio State commitment

ScoopDuck.com insider Justin Hopkins has logged an expert prediction for Oregon to flip four-star wide receiver Jeremiah McClellan away from Ohio State.

McClellan picked between the Ducks, Buckeyes and Missouri in August.

Maryland trending to flip South Carolina commit

The Terrapins are looking to keep a local star at home in three-star Charles Herbert Flowers (Md.) cornerback Braydon Lee. And the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) favors them to do, matching earlier intel from On3’s Chad Simmons.

Lee was one of the Gamecocks’ first commitments in the 2024 cycle.

Texas, LSU in contact with 5-star DL Dominick McKinley

Five-star Lafayette (La.) Acadiana defensive lineman Dominick McKinley is expected to take his decision to the February signing period, but both LSU and Texas would like to change that. The Texas A&M commit isn’t expected to end up with the Aggies, and according to On3’s Gerry Hamilton, both the Longhorns and Tigers have been in contact with him multiple times in the past 24 hours.

Florida 5-star DL commit likely postponing signing

Florida five-star defensive line commit LJ McCray tells On3’s Hayes Fawcett that there is a “high possibility” he will no longer sign today.

Missouri, Nebraska trying to flip 5-star Texas commit

Reports have surfaced of Missouri and Nebraska taking a late stab at flipping Texas 5-star wide receiver commit Ryan Wingo. Texas recruiting insider Gerry Hamilton reports that confidence remains high in Austin that Texas will sign Wingo, as of 8:30 a.m. CT this morning.

South Carolina gets on the board with a commitment

The Gamecocks added a former SEC commit to their class with three-star Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton wideout Debron Gatling. The longtime Texas A&M commit backed off his pledge to the Aggies earlier this month.

FSU commit not planning to sign on Wednesday

According to On3’s Chad Simmons, Florida State four-star offensive tackle Jonathan Daniels is unlikely to sign his National Letter of Intent on Wednesday. Kentucky has been the school in contact with him, but the Seminoles are still considered the favorite to hold onto him.

Florida State 5-star commit predicted to flip to Georgia

Both Georgia and Florida State have been working to flip Five-Star Plus+ safety KJ Bolden away from Florida State. According to Chad Simmons this morning, signs pointed to him flipping. Both schools were still in contact, but Auburn insider Jeffrey Lee has logged an expert prediction in favor of the Bulldogs.

Alabama making a major late push with Eddrick Houston

On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons reports that Alabama has regained the momentum over Ohio State with five-star Buckeyes defensive line commit Eddrick Houston. The Crimson Tide remained in communication with Houston throughout the night and has made a significant move toward flipping him.

Host of 5-stars sign

Among those already locked in include Justin Scott (Miami), Cam Williams (Notre Dame), Aaron Scott Jr. (Ohio State), Dylan Stewart (South Carolina), Sammy Brown (Clemson), and Dylan Raiola (Nebraska).

Miami trending for major in-state flip

The Hurricanes have been in pursuit of four-star Florida linebacker commit Adarius Hayes for months, and it’s getting down to final decision time. After the latest industry updates, the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) has shifted to favor Miami over the Gators late.

Elite 4-star CB Charles Lester III delays signing until Friday

8:52 a.m. ET UPDATE: Florida State announced Lester’s signing soon after he tweeted.

Coveted four-star cornerback Charles Lester III has been committed to Florida State since the summer, choosing the Seminoles over a whole host of other programs. But a few have stayed in contact with him, namely Colorado and Deion Sanders.

Early Wednesday morning, Lester announced that he will push his signing back to Friday due to “decision making.” Time will tell what that means.

5-star QB Dylan Raiola signs with Nebraska

After flipping five-star Buford (Ga.) quarterback Dylan Raiola away from Georgia over the weekend, Nebraska inked the nation’s No. 3 QB early Wednesday morning.

Raiola is the Huskers’ first five-star signee from the high school ranks since 2008, when they landed in-state offensive tackle Baker Steinkuhler.

Alabama making a late move for Texas commit

Four-star Daingerfield (Texas) athlete Aeryn Hampton was down to Alabama and Texas earlier in his recruitment, ultimately choosing the Longhorns. But the Crimson Tide have continued to push for him, and according to On3’s Gerry Hamilton, Alabama is trending late to flip Hampton.

Texas A&M, Georgia Tech trending for 4-star teammates

Two of Tampa Carrollwood Day’s top prospects — four-star EDGE Solomon Williams and four-star running back Anthony Carrie — are set to announce their decisions on Wednesday. Earlier this week, Texas A&M had momentum for both.

The Aggies have the lead in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) for Williams and are looking to fend off Alabama for the top-200 prospect. As for Carrie, On3’s Chad Simmons reported on Tuesday that it’s now Georgia Tech that’s moved into pole position for the one-time Michigan State pledge, despite his recent official visit to College Station.

Carrollwood Day’s signing event is set for 4pm ET.

Florida holding strong for 5-star QB DJ Lagway

USC made an eleventh hour push to sway five-star QB DJ Lagway from his Florida commit on Tuesday. WeAreSC’s Marshall Levenson reported that Trojans head coach Lincoln Riley spoke to Lagway over the phone on Tuesday.

On3’s Sam Spiegleman reports that sources indicated to him that Lagway wants to be at UF and that confidence is not high at USC in their bid to flip the five-star as of Tuesday Night.

Suspense builds around KJ Bolden…again

When Five-Star Plus+ safety KJ Bolden originally committed to Florida State in August, it was a dramatic recruitment that had Auburn, Georgia, as well as the Seminoles feeling confident. The suspense around Bolden is already building again on the eve of National Signing Day.

On3’s Chad Simmons is reporting that it “is not going to be easy for the Seminoles to hold on” to Bolden’s commitment. Earlier in the week, the intel suggested Auburn was the likely destination for Bolden. However, as of Tuesday afternoon the buzz had shifted to the Georgia Bulldogs.

Bolden will announce his decision at 1pm ET.

Ohio State looking to hold onto 5-stars

On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons’ most recent intel says Ohio State looks to be in good shape to hold onto the commitments of Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver Jeremiah Smith and five-star edge Eddrick Houston. In-state Florida, Florida State, and Miami have long been trying to flip Smith from the Buckeyes. The Seminoles were considered the team to be in the best shape to pull off the shocker, but it seems OSU will keep ahold of the prized receiver.

Alabama made a push for Houston late, getting him on campus right before the ‘Dead Period’ began. There was a time the Crimson Tide looked primed to pull of the flip, but the latest intel again has OSU keeping Houston’s pledge.
