Although the book is not yet closed, a wild National Signing Day has quite nearly painted the final picture on the 2024 recruiting cycle. Some moves are yet to be made, but here is a good look at how the country is shaping up in the 2024 class.

After National Signing Day, these are the top 50 classes in the 2024 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings:

1. Georgia — 94.513

3 five-stars | 19 four-stars | 6 three-stars | 28 total commits
Top Commit: Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy Five-Star Plus+ cornerback Ellis Robinson IV, No. 3 in the On3 Industry Ranking

Georgia made headlines on National Signing Day by flipping Buford (Ga.) Five-Star Plus+ safety KJ Bolden away from Florida State and officially adding him to the 2024 class. Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy Five-Star Plus+ cornerback Ellis Robinson IV and Conroe (Texas) Oak Ridge Five-Star Plus+ linebacker Justin Williams also lead the way in this stacked Georgia class.

For the second time in five years, Georgia has locked up the best recruiting class in the nation. UGA has signed 28 prospects — including three of the 15 highest-ranked in the 2024 cycle, as well as a whopping 19 four-stars. Smart and the Dawgs’ staff added at least one blue-chip recruit to the fold every month this calendar year.

From an absolutely loaded group of defensive linemen, to a stout trio of linebackers and running backs, to the top two defensive backs in the nation, UGA managed to strike every cord this cycle — even signing a top-10 quarterback after losing a commitment from one just two days before NSD.

In total, 21 of the 28 commits are top-300 prospects and range across 10 different positions. Georgia is set to welcome an illustrious group of recruits to Athens.

2. Alabama — 93.657

3 five-stars | 16 four-star | 6 three-stars | 25 total commits
Top Commit: Carlsbad (Calif.) Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Julian Sayin, No. 5 in the On3 Industry Ranking

Alabama has worked its way back up to the top of the recruiting rankings once again. The Tide rank No. 2 nationally and No. 2 in the SEC behind a trio of five-star recruits: Carlsbad (Calif.) Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Julian Sayin, Saraland (Ala.) Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver Ryan Williams and Pinson (Ala.) Clay-Chalkville five-star athlete Jaylen Mbakwe.

On National Signing Day, the Tide added Northport (Ala.) Tuscaloosa County four-star running back Kevin Riley, Daingerfield (Texas) four-star athlete Aeryn Hampton and Saint-Augustin de Desmaures (Quebec, Canada) Notre Dame four-star defensive lineman Steve Mboumoua.

The Crimson Tide added a commitment on Monday from Kansas City (Mo.) Liberty North four-star EDGE Jayshawn Ross, who has signed. Top-100 signees for Alabama include Carrollton (Ga.) four-star tight end Caleb Odom, Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei four-star cornerback Zabien Brown, Birmingham (Ala.) Parker four-star defensive lineman Jeremiah Beaman and Lindale (Texas) four-star interior offensive lineman Casey Poe.

3. Ohio State — 92.708

4 five-stars | 10 four-stars | 6 three-stars | 20 total commits
Top Commit: Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, No. 1 in the On3 Industry Ranking

Ryan Day’s staff has built an elite recruiting class in Columbus once again. The Buckeyes hold more commitments from five-star recruits than any other program, and Brian Hartline is bringing in yet another mind-boggling receiver haul. Ohio State did lose Chicago St. Ignatius five-star defensive lineman Justin Scott and Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas four-star running back Jordan Lyle both to Miami — also losing Saint Louis (Mo.) Christian Brothers College four-star receiver Jeremiah McClellan to Oregon on National Signing Day.

But the Buckeyes successfully defended the commitments of Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver Jeremiah Smith and Buford (Ga.) five-star EDGE Eddrick Houston — a major win for Ryan Day’s staff.

Smith is the nation’s No. 1 overall recruit and pledged to the Buckeyes last December. Five-star prospects New Haven (Ind.) five-star wide receiver Mylan Graham and Springfield (Ohio) five-star cornerback Aaron Scott Jr officially signed with Ohio State.

4. Miami – 92.648

2 five-stars | 11 four-stars | 14 three-stars | 27 total commits
Top Commit: Chicago St. Ignatius five-star defensive lineman Justin Scott, No. 15 in the On3 Industry Ranking

The biggest news of the day for the Hurricanes was flipping back five-star defensive lineman Armondo Blount from Florida State. Blount was once committed to the Hurricanes when he was a member of the 2025 recruiting class.

Miami made another big splash on Monday, flipping its second recruit from Ohio State in the last three weeks. The Hurricanes landed Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas four-star running back Jordan Lyle soon after his officially visited Coral Gables. They also flipped Chicago St. Ignatius five-star defensive lineman Justin Scott.

Other big recruiting wins this cycle included landing Chicago Kenwood Academy four-star EDGE Marquise Lightfoot, Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep four-star wide receiver Joshisa Trader and his teammate — four-star safety Zaquan Patterson. Miami also flipped Moultrie (Ga.) Colquitt County four-star wide receiver Ny Carr away from his in-state Georgia Bulldogs.

5. Texas — 92.596

3 five-stars | 15 four-stars | 4 three-stars | 22 total commits
Top Commit: Duncanville (Texas) Five-Star Plus+ EDGE Colin Simmons, No. 11 in On3 Industry Ranking

Texas’ December has hardly been a quiet one. As the Longhorns prepare to play in the College Football Playoff, Steve Sarkisian and his staff have landed two of their top targets in the 2024 cycle. McKinney (Texas) four-star safety Xavier Filsaime ranks No. 33 overall and flipped from Florida to Texas on Monday. Waco (Texas) Connally four-star cornerback Kobe Black pledged to the Longhorns on December 13.

Texas also flipped Marrero (La.) John Ehret four-star cornerback Wardell Mack from Florida on November 12, another top-100 prospect in this class alongside Duncanville (Texas) Five-Star Plus+ EDGE Colin Simmons, Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei five-star offensive tackle Brandon Baker and Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star running back Jerrick Gibson.

Daingerfield (Texas) four-star athlete Aeryn Hampton flipped to Alabama on National Signing Day, but flipped Jasper (Texas) four-star linebacker Tyanthony Smith from Texas A&M.

6. Oregon — 92.546

0 five-stars | 18 four-stars | 7 three-stars | 25 total commits
Top Commit: Tucson (Ariz.) Salpointe Catholic four-star EDGE Elijah Rushing, No. 36 in On3 Industry Ranking

Oregon was one of the big winners on NSD, as it flipped a pair of elite wide receivers. First, Saint Louis Christian Brothers Academy four-star Jeremiah McClellan flipped from Ohio State. Later in the day, Long Beach (Calif.) Millikan four-star Ryan Pellum did the same, signing with Oregon over USC.

The Ducks added their two highest-ranked signees in October, as four-star EDGE Elijah Rushing and Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei four-star DL Aydin Breland pledged to Dan Lanning and Co. They’re two of five top-100 prospects in the mix in Eugene, alongside McClellan, Forney (Texas) four-star safety Aaron Flowers and Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra four-star CB Dakoda Fields.

Oregon’s class features a bevy of high-profile recruits on the defensive side of the ball. Behind the aforementioned signees, Baltimore St. Frances Academy four-star CB Ify Obidegwu, Yelm (Wash.) four-star LB Brayden Platt and Long Beach (Calif.) Poly four-star LB Dylan Williams bolster the pledge list.

7. Auburn — 92.123

2 five-stars | 11 four-stars | 8 three-stars | 21 total commits
Top Commit: Five-Star Plus+ WR Cam Coleman, No. 4 in the On3 Industry Ranking

It has certainly been an exciting back half of a recruiting cycle for Hugh Freeze and his staff on the Plains. A trio of flips headline the class — Phenix City (Ala.) Central Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver Cam Coleman was once committed to Texas A&M. Foley (Ala.) five-star wide receiver Perry Thompson was once committed to Iron Bowl rival Alabama. Clanton (Ala.) Chilton County four-star linebacker Demarcus Riddick was once pledged to Georgia.

The Tigers weren’t able to flip KJ Bolden, but did poach four-star defensive lineman Amaris Williams away from Florida.

8. Oklahoma — 91.864

1 five-star | 15 four-stars | 11 three-stars | 27 total commits
Top Commit: Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy Five-Star Plus+ defensive lineman David Stone, No. 7 in On3 Industry Ranking

Tampa Catholic four-star interior offensive lineman Eddy Pierre-Louis made the biggest splash of the month, adding his name to the Sooners’ list on December 15. It was Oklahoma’s first commit since former Michigan State commit, Centerville (Ohio) four-star safety Reggie Powers pledged to the Sooners in late October.

No signing day surprises were in store for the Sooners, though, which isn’t the worst news considering what happened to a few others.

9. Notre Dame — 91.764

1 five-star | 12 four-stars | 10 three-stars | 23 total commits
Top Commit: Glen Ellyn (Ill.) Glenbard South five-star wide receiver Cam Williams, No. 29 in the On3 Industry Ranking

Notre Dame surely has no shortage of offense in its 2024 recruiting class, its top three commits all coming on the point-scoring side of the ball. Glen Ellyn (Ill.) Glenbard South five-star wide receiver Cam Williams is the top commit for the Irish, and he’s joined in the top 60 by West Roxbury (Mass.) Catholic Memorial four-star offensive tackle Guerby Lambert and Saline (Mich.) four-star quarterback CJ Carr.

Lambert was the last prospect to commit to the Irish, which happened in September. Still Marcus Freeman and his staff have built and maintained a solid class in South Bend. Additional top-150 recruits include Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco four-star linebacker Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa and Charlotte (N.C.) Charlotte Christian four-star EDGE Bryce Young.

10. LSU — 91.707

0 five-stars | 17 four-stars | 10 three-stars | 27 total commits
Top Commit: Jackson (La.) East Feliciana four-star tight end Trey’Dez Green, No. 35 in the On3 Industry Ranking

Shreveport (La.) Evangel Christian Academy four-star defensive lineman Gabriel Reliford provided some positive momentum for LSU heading into National Signing Day when he committed to LSU on December 8. He joined an LSU class that consists of 17 blue-chip prospects, including five in the top 150.

Those five include Jackson (La.) Zachary four-star tight end Trey’Dez Green, Beaumont (Texas) United four-star offensive tackle Weston Davis, Denham Springs (La.) four-star safety Dashawn McBryde, Duncanville (Texas) four-star running back Caden Durham and Many (La.) four-star linebacker Tylen Singleton.

11. Florida State — 91.593

0 five-stars | 13 four-stars | 9 three-stars | 22 total commits
Top Commit: Savannah (Ga.) Benedictine Military four-star QB Luke Kromenhoek, No. 40 in the On3 Industry Ranking

Florida State lost a pair of five-star recruits in Buford (Ga.) Five-Star Plus+ safety KJ Bolden and Miami Central five-star defensive lineman Armondo Blount on National Signing Day. It was not the best of days for the ‘Noles, but they remain in the top 15 nationally.

The Seminoles were active on the trail in July, hauling in 10 prospects, none bigger than Venice (Fla.) four-star cornerback Charles Lester III. Moultrie (Ga.) Colquitt County four-star Landen Thomas is the No. 6 tight end in the cycle, while Savannah (Ga.) Benedictine Military four-star QB Luke Kromenhoek is the No. 4 quarterback. Orlando (Fla.) Edgewater four-star cornerback Cai Bates ranks No. 101 in the nation and committed to the Seminoles on December 1.

12. Texas A&M — 91.434

2 five-stars | 10 four-stars | 4 three-stars | 16 total commits
Top Commit: Timpson (Texas) five-star athlete Terry Bussey, No. 20 in the On3 Industry Ranking

Texas A&M has seen its fair share of decommitments after former head coach Jimbo Fisher, but the Aggies have held on to a top-15 class that includes two five-star prospects. Lafayette (La.) Acadiana five-star defensive lineman Dominick McKinley pledged to A&M in September but will take his recruitment into February. Timpson (Texas) five-star athlete Terry Bussey joined him in the Aggies’ class later that same month, but is also expected to take his recruitment beyond December.

Signing Day was fruitful for the Aggies though, as they landed Tampa (Fla.) Carrollwood Day four-star teammates Izaiah Williams and Solomon Williams.

13. Tennessee — 91.399

1 five-stars | 12 four-stars | 8 three-stars | 21 total commits
Top Commit: Lilburn (Ga.) Parkview five-star wide receiver Mike Matthews, No. 22 in the On3 Industry Ranking

Nearly one-third of Tennessee’s 2024 class comes from the talent-packed state of Tennessee, including Chattanooga (Tenn.) Bradley Central four-star athlete Boo Carter. Carter was part of a busy June for Tennessee that also saw commitments from Aiken (S.C.) Strom Thurmond four-star four-star wide receiver Braylon Staley, Frisco (Texas) Reedy four-star interior offensive lineman Max Anderson and Atlanta Pace Academy four-star linebacker Jordan Burns.

Lilburn (Ga.) Parkview five-star wide receiver Mike Matthews and Birmingham (Ala.) Vestavia Hills four-star EDGE Jordan Ross sit atop the Vols class that ranks top 15 in the nation.

14. Clemson — 91.363

2 five-stars | 10 four-stars | 9 three-stars | 21 total commits
Top Commit: Jefferson (Ga.) five-star LB Sammy Brown, No. 17 in the On3 Industry Ranking

Clemson pulled both of its five-star recruits on consecutive days in the month of June. Jefferson (Ga.) five-star LB Sammy Brown kicked things off for the Tigers before being followed up by Midlothian (Texas) WR Bryant Wesco.

The class also includes Lancaster (Texas) four-star CB Corian Gipson, Woodstock (Ill.) Marian Central Catholic four-star TE Christian Bentancur and Tampa (Fla.) Catholic four-star WR TJ Moore, all three of whom are top-100 pledges.

15. Penn State — 91.141

Top Commit: Westford (Mass.) Cheshire Academy four-star tight end Luke Reynolds, No. 49 in On3 Industry Ranking

The Nittany Lions have crept up the rankings as multiple commits have risen over the course of the cycle. Four-star TE Luke Reynolds is now the No. 3 TE, Belle Vernon (Pa.) four-star ATH Quinton Martin is the No. 3 ATH and Lewis Center (Ohio) Olentangy four-star QB Ethan Grunkemeyer is now the No. 8 QB in the cycle.

An additional four top-200 prospects are committed to James Franklin and PSU: Erie (Pa.) McDowell four-star IOL Cooper Cousins, Brookline (Mass.) Dexter four-star ATH Liam Andrews, Jacksonville Mandarin four-star CB Jon Mitchell and Hartland (Wisc.) Arrowhead four-star OT Garrett Sexton.

16. Florida — 91.110

2 five-stars | 8 four-stars | 8 three-stars | 18 total commits
Top Commit: Willis (Texas) Five-Star Plus+ QB DJ Lagway, No. 10 in the On3 Industry Ranking

Florida was hit the hardest of any program on signing day, losing multiple commitments including Amaris and Izaiah Williams. However, the Gators were able to fend off multiple schools for Willis (Texas) Five-Star Plus+ quarterback DJ Lagway and Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland five-star defensive lineman LJ McCray.

What was once an excellent class is now a bit of an also-ran in the SEC rankings.

17. Michigan — 91.104
