Big 12 rankings NSD

The new National Signing Day once again brought plenty of drama to the table as schools looked to begin inking their recruiting classes. The Big 12 has eight teams in the top 50 of the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

In order to create the most comprehensive and unbiased team recruiting ranking, the On3 Team Recruiting Rankings is solely based on the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. The On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings is the most advanced and accurate team ranking in the industry.

The top 10 Big 12 recruiting classes in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings can be found below.

The Red Raiders have their centerpiece pledge in Five-Star Plus+ WR Micah Hudson, who committed on Sept. 11. He’s the lone top-100 pledge in a class that is entirely built on in-state recruiting. Of the 21 commits, all hail from the Lone Star State.

Prosper (Texas) four-star OT Ellis Davis is the No. 120 recruit and No. 7 OT in the cycle, while Pflugerville (Texas) Weiss four-star safety Peyton Morgan checks in as the No. 189 prospect and No. 12 safety. Sachse (Texas) four-star EDGE Cheta Ofili and Hutto (Texas) four-star QB Will Hammond also help highlight the class.

Like Texas Tech, the Horned Frogs’ recruiting class is heavy on in-state recruits, as 82% of the class comes via Texas. Four-star WR Gekyle Baker and Fort Worth (Texas) Aledo four-star QB Hauss Hejny are each top-200 pledges. Hejny is the No. 12 signal-caller this cycle.

Missouri City (Texas) Hightower four-star RB Jeremy Payne and Tyler (Texas) Legacy three-star EDGE Travis Jackson help push TCU’s class near the top 30 in the nation. Payne is one of two Texas burners in the class, alongside Decatur three-star Nathaniel Palmer.

Las Vegas Arbor View three-star WR David Washington and Playa Del Ray (Calif.) St. Bernard three-star WR Zacharyus Williams bolster the wideout room, while the three-star safety trio of Houston Jersey Village’s Maurice Evans, Santa Ana (Calif.)
