The latest College Football Playoff national championship odds were updated ahead of Week 12 of the regular season.

Now that we have two games left, it’s time to really break down who’s remaining as a contender. Spoiler alert, this list was cut down after Week 11. There are clear cut contenders.

Let’s break down the latest national title odds, courtesy of FanDuel, ahead of Week 12 of the season.

Michigan (+220)

(Matthew O’Haren-USA TODAY Sports)

Michigan is the favorite and we mean the solo favorite to win it all this season. The Wolverines didn’t blow out Penn State, but they certainly dominated.

With that, Michigan is the odds on favorite at 10-0 this year. With Maryland and Ohio State left, the schedule sets up for a run at the CFP and maybe the No. 1 ranking if other things break their way.

Georgia (+250)

(Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports)

Georgia dominated Ole Miss and isn’t the favorite nationwide? Hmm, Las Vegas might know something we don’t. Anyway, the two-time champs looked impressive.

Carson Beck should be in the Heisman conversation at this point as he’s only gotten better. Moving forward, Georgia just has to keep cruising until the SEC Championship Game against Alabama.

Alabama (+700)

(Jordan Prather-USA TODAY Sports)

Speaking of Alabama, the Crimson Tide are 9-1 and clinched a spot in the conference title game. The lone loss being Texas, Alabama has looked dominant since then. Basically, you don’t want to play this team right now.

Jalen Milroe scored six touchdowns against Kentucky and with what the Crimson Tide have done over the last, let’s say, six weeks, this has to be one of Nick Saban’s best coaching jobs. This is certainly a national title contender.

Ohio State (+850)

(Brooke LaValley_Columbus Dispatch _ USA TODAY NETWORK)

The Buckeyes didn’t do anything wrong of course. But Ohio State has the fourth shortest odds after a win over Michigan State. That’s likely due to Vegas liking Michigan all year long

Of course, it’ll all come down to the final game of the regular season, assuming Ohio State and Michigan are 11-0 after Week 12. If the Buckeyes come out on top, maybe it’s time to treat them like the favorite.

Florida State (+900)

(Alicia Devine_Tallahassee Democrat _ USA TODAY NETWORK)

The Seminoles are also still undefeated following the weekend and the favorites in the ACC. While Louisville is right up their tail, the odds give a lot more respect to FSU.

We get it, Louisville came out of nowhere pretty much. Florida State’s been steady and as long as the team wins the ACC, it’s in the playoff and have a legit shot at the national title.

Oregon (+900)

(Ben Lonergan/The Register-Guard / USA TODAY NETWORK)

The Ducks can not be stopped right now and it seems like that loss to Washington was a distant memory. While Oregon didn’t blow out USC, Bo Nix looked like one of the best quarterbacks in the country.

The odds favor Oregon over Washington right despite the head-to-head loss. It’s close, but with the way Dan Lanning and company are firing off on all cylinders, we won’t put it past Oregon to win the whole thing.

Next set of contenders

Washington (+1,200)
Texas (+2,000)
Louisville (+15,000)
Oklahoma (+25,000)
Oregon State (+25,000)
Liberty (+100,000)
Iowa (+100,000)

With just two weeks left, the top tier contenders are clear. Now, there are others that have a very slim shot, but some have two losses. S barring disaster, it might be time to eliminate some of those long shots.
