Bryce James, youngest son of LeBron James, and Cameron Boozer, son of Carlos Boozer, are in On3s 2025 ranking update

In the world of basketball, LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Jermaine O’Neal, Dominique Wilkins, and Carlos Boozer carry star power. Each of those former NBA All-Stars and USA National Team members carries a certain amount of cache when their names are mentioned. Each of these former stars also have sons who are in On3’s class of 2025 player rankings.

Even before looking at the bloodlines, there is a lot of excitement around the 2025 class. At this early stage, the players in the class carry legitimate star power at the top, and there are more players who are surfacing regularly.

Some of this excitement stems from the 2025 coming on the tail end of back-to-back down classes in 2024 and 2023. However, most of the energy given to this class is because these guys can play and play at a high level.

When you add star power to the mix, it takes things to an entirely new level. People love superstars, and it feels like the general public wants the children of great players to be great in their own right. NBA stars having sons who are talented is not singular to the 2025 class; however, in recent memory, there has not been a class with so many sons ranked among the top-75 in a class.

And LeBron James, Dominique Wilkins, Carlos Boozer, Carmelo Anthony, and Jermaine O’Neal are not simply NBA players or guys who just played in the league. These were players who were at the top of their profession. They were the players that so many of my generation grew up watching and emulating. Their posters were on walls, shoes on feet, and jerseys worn throughout arenas.

Carlos Boozer has twins in the top 25

Carlos Boozer accomplished a lot during his basketball playing career; a McDonald’s All-American in high school, a national championship at Duke, an Olympic gold medal with USA Basketball, and a two-time NBA All-Star.

The lineage starts immediately when surveying the rankings. At the top of the class, you have Cameron Boozer. The 6-foot-8 forward from Miami (FL) Christopher Columbus High is the son of the former pro. Cameron averaged 21.3 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game this season. He is a skilled forward, who can handle, shoot, and pass and is a natural rebounder in his area.

Boozer’s Columbus High team has been featured all over the country this season, including on ESPN. The team also features Cameron’s twin brother Cayden Boozer, a 6-foot-3 point guard, who checks in at No. 23 in the On3 2025 75 update.

Cayden averaged 15.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 2.0 steals this season. He is a point guard who plays aggressively at the point of attack. The Boozer brothers, Cameron and Cayden, just won their second consecutive 7A Florida State Championship this weekend. Cayden led all scorers with 21 points.

Jermaine O’Neal, Jr. remains in the rankings

Like the Boozer twins, Jermaine O’Neal, Jr. was also in the previous 2025 On3 ranking. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard at Dallas (TX) Dynamic Prep comes in at No. 71 in the update. He is the son of Jermaine O’Neal.

Jermaine O’Neal was drafted in the first round straight out of high school. The power forward was a six-time NBA All-Star and a two-time gold medalist with USA Basketball.

Sons of Dominque Wilkins, LeBron James, and Carmelo Anthony make their debuts

Making his debut at No. 25 in the rankings is Dominique Wilkins‘ son, Jacob Wilkins. He is a 6-foot-8 small forward from Lilburn (Ga.) Parkview High. The high-flying sophomore says he is averaging around 19 points, five rebounds, and two assists per game.

Jacob’s dad, Dominique, was voted as one of the NBA’s 75 greatest players. Nicknamed the Human Highlight Film, Wilkins was a nine-time NBA All-Star and NBA scoring champion and won a gold medal with USA Basketball.

Coming in at No. 59 is Kiyan Anthony, the son of Carmelo Anthony. Kiyan is a 6-foot-3 shooting guard from Long Island (NY) Long Island Lutheran. Anthony has long arms, a projectable frame, and a smooth shooting stroke. In a featured game earlier this season, Kiyan Anthony faced off against Bronny James in the 20th anniversary of when Carmelo Anthony faced off against LeBron James in high school.

Carmelo Anthony was voted as one of the NBA’s 75 greatest players. He was a McDonald’s All-American, named an NBA All-Star ten times, and won four gold medals with USA Basketball. Carmelo is USA Basketball’s all-time leading scorer and rebounder and is ninth on the NBA’s all-time leading scorer list.

Speaking of the NBA’s all-time leading scorers … at the top of that list is LeBron James. Entering the 2025 On3 75 at No. 73 is Bryce James, the youngest son of LeBron James. James is a 6-foot-3 guard at Chatsworth (CA) Sierra Canyon and the younger brother of senior Bronny James.

LeBron James, the only dad on the list still playing, is a four-time NBA champion, a four-time finals MVP, a four-time NBA MVP, and 19-time NBA All-Star, and a three-time gold medalist with USA Basketball.
