College football is less than a week away with a few teams set to kick off this Saturday, but for most the action will begin next week. That’s when NBC Sports will broadcast its first game as part of its coverage of the Big Ten in the 2024 season with a contest between Michigan and Fresno State at 7:30 p.m. ET on Aug. 31.

The network revealed the announcer team for that game in a press release on Tuesday. Noah Eagle will serve as the play-by-play analyst alongside former Penn State quarterback Todd Blackledge as a color commentator. Sideline reporter Kathryn Tappen will round out the team, which will cover all primetime games for NBC this season except for Sept. 7.

In addition to broadcasting Big Ten games in 2024, NBC will continue to be the home of Notre Dame football as well. It will mark the 34th straight season that the Fighting Irish have had their games televised on NBC.

Dan Hicks will do the play-by-play for the Notre Dame crew with Jason Garrett acting as the color commentator. Sideline reports Zora Stephenson will round out the broadcast crew.

There will be a different primetime crew for the second week of the season when NBC broadcasts a game between Nebraska and Colorado at 7:30 p.m. ET on Sept. 7. Paul Burmeister will do the play-by-play for the matchup between the Cornhuskers and Buffaloes while former NFL and Texas quarterback Colt McCoy will make his broadcasting debut as color commentator.

Other broadcasters for non-primetime college football games on NBC this coming season include Brendan Burke (play-by-play), Kyle Rudolph (color commentator), and Caroline Pineda (sideline reporter).
