No. 12 Tennessee takes on NC State in the Basketball Hall of Fame Game Saturday night to cap off a day of hoops.

The Volunteers played a tough schedule to this point, but have been high quality all year sitting at 7-3. The Wolfpack meanwhile are 7-2 and looking to get into the top 25 for next week’s poll with a win.

Tennessee is the favorite in this one, so let’s dive into the nitty-gritty details.

Odds for NC State vs. Tennessee

Coming into the game, Tennessee is a 9.5-point favorite, per FanDuel. If you’re feeling frisky, you can take the moneyline as well, listed at (-490) for Tennessee and (+375) for NC State.

As far as the total is concerned, it’s 148.5 points. So this could definitely be a high-scoring affair when it’s all said and done.

Final score predictions for NC State vs. Tennessee

BPI Predicted winner: Tennessee
BPI Predicted point differential: 7.7
BPI Win probability (for Tennessee): 75.6%
BPI Matchup Quality: 81.4

ESPN’s BPI is a model designed to provide a statistical comparison between two teams and predict future success. This is pretty much the same thing as what Vegas sees in the game.

As far as the quality, it’s over 80. That’s not too shabby for a late-night contest. It ranks No. 10 across the entire Saturday slate.

KenPom Predicted final score: 78-69
KenPom Win probability (for Tennessee): 80%

KenPom is in agreement with ESPN at this point. Both have a similar spread to Vegas’ line and Tennessee is the expected winner.

The win probability is way up there for the Volunteers. So basically, if the Wolfpack pull this off it’ll be quite the upset.
