NC State WR transfer Dacari Collins sets visits to UCLA, Baylor

NC State wide receiver transfer Dacari Collins is set to visit UCLA from Friday to Saturday and Baylor from Monday to Tuesday, his agents tell On3’s Pete Nakos. Collins began his career at Clemson.
Spending four years at the collegiate level, he split those years at both Clemson and NC State. His true freshman season saw his capture 16 receptions for 221 yards. He played one game the following season before transferring to NC State in 2023. In two seasons with the Wolfpack, Collins compiled 38 receptions for 526 yards and four touchdowns.
He’s coming off the best season of his career statistically as well, recording 24 receptions for 314 yards and two scores. NC State finished the 2024 season with a 6-7 record, including a 3-5 record against ACC competition.
Collins is former top 200 recruit, ranking No. 186 in the On3 Industry Rankings, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. He was the No. 29 WR in the 2021 cycle, and No. 18 player out of the state of Georgia.
He will have one year of eligbility remaining to play at his next school. Whether that ends up being the Bruins or Bears remains to be seen. However, there does appear to be mutual interest between the two camps.

If he does choose the Bruins, he’ll be getting thrown passes by former Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleava, who transferred into the program on Wednesday. This came after Iamaleava’s camp and the Volunteers brass were unable to come to terms on contract negotiations regarding NIL compensation.
For the Bears, they’re coming off an 8-5 record during the 2025 season, including a 6-3 record against Big 12 opponents. While they finished in fifth place in the final conference standings, the record was tied for second-best in the Big 12. They finished the season having been invited to the Texas Bowl, where they fell 44-31 in a high-scoring shootout to the LSU Tigers.
