College baseball is a bit unique in that its postseason can offer significant advantages based on seeding, with regional and super regional hosts getting a big leg up on their competition.

It’s earned, of course, as national seeds aren’t handed out lightly. This year’s crop has mostly taken care of business near the top, though there were a handful of upsets in the regional round of action.

Let’s take a look at this year’s Super Regional host sites, which were announced by the NCAA on Tuesday.

(1) Tennessee vs. Evansville
The nation’s No. 1 team took care of business in convincing fashion in the Knoxville Regional over the weekend, winning each of its three games by a minimum of six runs. Evansville, on the other hand, took a slightly more interesting route. After advancing to the winner’s bracket with two wins, the Purpe Aces were routed by East Carolina 19-6 to set up a winner-take-all game on Monday. Evansville came out ahead by a narrow 6-5 margin, setting up the showdown with Tennessee.

(2) Kentucky vs. (15) Oregon State
Like Tennessee, there was very little drama for Kentucky in the Lexington Regional. The Wildcats swept the field with three straight wins, though the first one was a back-and-forth 10-8 affair. Oregon State also advanced with three straight wins in Corvallis, though the Beavers had to sit overnight due to a delay, clinching on Monday afternoon instead.

Game 1: Saturday, June 8, 6 p.m. ET (ESPNU)
Game 2: Sunday, June 9, 9 p.m. ET (ESPNU)
Game 3 (if necessary): TBD

(3) Texas A&M vs. Oregon
Texas A&M cruised through the College Station Regional, looking every bit the part of the nation’s No. 3 seed. There was a close game against Texas, but that was sandwiched by a couple blowouts to advance out to the supers easily. Meanwhile, Oregon managed to advance to the Super Regionals for the second straight year, winning a trio of very close games to sweep the Santa Barbara Regional.

Game 1: Saturday, June 8, 2 p.m. ET (ESPN2)
Game 2: Sunday, June 9, 7:30 p.m. ET (ESPN2)
Game 3 (if necessary): TBD

(4) North Carolina vs. West Virginia
North Carolina had to battle to the bitter end to advance to a Super Regional, going to 10 innings in a winner-take-all game against defending national champion LSU. But ultimately the Tar Heels did get the job done and will now get to host. West Virginia advanced by sweeping the Tucson Regional, taking down Dallas Baptist once and then clipping Grand Canyon twice. The Mountaineers won each game by at least three runs.

Game 1: Friday, June 7, 6 p.m. ET (ESPN2)
Game 2: Saturday, June 8, 8 p.m. ET (ESPN2)
Game 3 (if necessary): Sunday, June 9, 3 p.m. ET (ESPN2)

(6) Clemson vs. Florida
Clemson advanced to the supers by winning three straight games, including a pair of one-run games to start things off. After winning those, Clemson poured it on in the regional final against Coastal Carolina, winning 12-5. Florida advanced out of the loser’s bracket in the Stillwater Regional. The Gators and star Jac Caglianone knocked off Nebraska twice to sandwich an early loss to Oklahoma State. But Florida roared back to win two straight against Oklahoma State to advance to the supers.

(7) Georgia vs. (10) NC State
Georgia and superstar slugger Charlie Condon had a pair of close games, first edging by Army 8-7 and then needing 10 innings to dispatch rival Georgia Tech 8-6 to claim the regional for good. Still, it was an impressive showing in Athens. Now the Bulldogs will get to host an NC State team that made equally short work of the Raleigh Regional. The Wolfpack swept with three wins, a blowout and two closer contests.

(8) Florida State vs. UConn
Florida State advanced to the supers in pretty dominant fashion, dusting a pair of Florida teams in Stetson and UCF to move on. The ‘Noles knocked off the Knights twice to sweep the regional, never really breaking a sweat to do so. UConn moved on after getting a chance to sweep the regional. But the Huskies lost to the Sooners in the first matchup in the regional final before dispatching them easily in the second, winner-take-all game.

(12) Virginia vs. Kansas State
Brian O’Connor always seems to have his team playing its best ball in the postseason and the regional this year was no exception. After winning the first two games by a combined three runs, the Cavaliers opened things up with a 9-2 win over Mississippi State to advance. Kansas State, meanwhile, advanced by scoring at least seven runs in all three contests in the Fayetteville Regional, which included a 7-6 win over host Arkansas in perhaps the decisive game in the regional.
