The NCAA has released what the floor of the Final Four court will look like at NRG Stadium in Houston.

It’s simply out of this world. Check out the design below, shared to Twitter by the NCAA Men’s Final Four account.

As you can see, it’s a pretty remarkable court with an amazing story behind it, as the account elaborated on why it looks the way it does.

“The space elements around the edges of the court create the illusion that the court is floating in space,” explained the NCAA Final Four. “The contract of the dark and bright colors gives a nebulous feel and compliments the center court logo.

“The center court element is the 2023 Men’s Final Four logo. The containing shape and elements of the logo are inspired by the mission patches given to astronauts and people affiliated with certain space missions. The space elements are a nod to NASA’s Johnson Space Center located in Houston.”

It’s going to be fun watching the four remaining teams do battle in Houston on this beautiful piece of hardwood. The NCAA Tournament can’t get going soon enough.

Seth Greenberg reveals hardest, easiest roads to Final Four for No. 1 seeds

With the NCAA basketball bracket finalized, ESPN’s Seth Greenberg revealed the hardest and easiest roads to the Final Four among the No. 1 seeds.

AlabamaHoustonKansas and Purdue made up the foursome at the top. But the ESPN analyst discussed Purdue and Alabama among the elite that have a hard and easy road to get to Houston.

Greenberg joined Get Up and broke down both ends of the argument for the Final Four.

“The most difficult is Purdue,” Greenberg said. “And the reason is because they got Duke in their bracket. Duke is not a number five seed, but they can play them in his sweet 16. This is a Duke team defensively, they can dominate … This is the Duke team that has two seven footers. Kyle Filipowski is an absolute matchup nightmare. Their backcourt is elite.

“Defensively they’ve got rum protection. I like this Duke team. That is a tough matchup for Purdue. One of the few teams that Purdue could face that can actually have a guy in Derrick Lively that can look Zach Edey in the eye.”

Purdue won the Big Ten title this season but showed some weaknesses during the regular season that resulted in upset losses.

But the top overall seed is the best team in the country for a reason. The Crimson Tide could be dancing all the way to a national championship at this point.

“It’s Alabama and it has a lot to do with what Alabama is all about,” Greenberg said. “I understand Creighton is in that bracket, as is Arizona, but Alabama they have to me the number one college player in the NBA draft and that’s Brandon Miller. He is absolutely a matchup nightmare. Six-foot-nine-inch point guard that can knock down threes, make plays just a brutal matchup, but this is an elite defensive team.

“They run you off the three point line. They have length and athleticism. I call them Noah’s Ark. What do you mean by Noah’s Ark? They got two of everything. Alabama is the most talented, most athletic team in the field. Alabama has the easiest road.”

The NCAA Tournament tips off with the First Four March 14 and 15. The first round begins on March 16.
