The Midwest Region All-Tournament Team has been revealed by the NCAA following the Sweet Sixteen and the Elite Eight.

Following an exciting two weeks of games, it was the two teams who fought for the right to represent the Midwest in the Final Four — Miami and Texas — who dominated the selections. Three members of the Hurricanes made the cut, while two Longhorns filled out the remainder of the squad.

Check out the selections below, announced by the NCAA on Monday afternoon.

First off, Miami’s Nijel Pack, Isaiah Wong and Jordan Miller led the way for the Hurricanes to get to the Final Four, and the trio is now being honored with their Midwest All-Tournament Team selections. Next up for the Hurricanes will be a showdown with the Connecticut Huskies in Houston, a showdown that should be one of the best we’ve seed thus far in the NCAA Tournament.

Meanwhile, Texas fell short of their ultimate goal, but star players Timmy Allen and Marcus Carr were also honored alongside the three Miami players. It may sting now, but both Longhorns players can take solace in the fact that they helped lay a foundation for sustained, future success over the 2022-2023 season.

The Midwest featured some of the best action, athletes and storylines of the entire NCAA Tournament, with each team playing their hearts out. In the end, Miami stands tall, moving on to the Final Four next weekend.

Last season, Miami fought to the Elite Eight, another milestone year for the program, but Jim Larranaga and his team felt like they were capable of reaching that next level.

One year later, they achieved their goal and secured a spot in one of the most prestigious places a college team can find themselves. Next up could be their toughest challenge yet however, with a dominant UConn team up ahead.

Texas led by as many as 13 points in the second half before Miami battled back to take a 73-72 lead with 5:32 remaining on an and-one play from Norchad Omier. That completed a 13-2 run for the Hurricanes as the Longhorns were held without a field goal for nearly four minutes.

From there, the teams traded scores as the game was tied three more times. However, Miami scored six straight points on free throws to take an 85-79 lead with 24 seconds and pull away for good.

Jordan Miller scored 26 points, four of which came on late free throws, to lead the Hurricanes in the win. All five Miami starters finished with double figures as the team shot on efficient 29-of-49 (59.1%) from the field and 30-of-34 from the foul line.
