Below are the top transfer portal commitments thus far:
WR Micah Hudson – Texas A&M
On3 Industry Transfer Portal Ranking: No. 4
Previous School: Texas Tech
One of the top players in the 2024 class, Hudson signed with Texas Tech over Ohio State, Texas, Texas A&M and dozens of other offers. While dealing with injuries, he caught eight passes for 124 yards in his lone season in Lubbock before entering the portal.
He’ll get a chance to reboot closer to home with the Aggies.
SAF Dillon Thieneman – Oregon
On3 Industry Transfer Portal Ranking: No. 6
Previous School: Purdue
Thieneman announced his intentions to enter the portal shortly after Purdue underwent a coaching change, parting ways with Ryan Walters.
He was one of the centerpieces of the Boilermakers defense in 2024, leading the team with 104 tackles, including five tackles for loss and a sack. He also recorded seven passes defended in the secondary. That came after an impressive freshman season in West Lafayette. Thieneman had 106 tackles and two tackles for loss while also leading Purdue with six interceptions. That helped him earn Big Ten Freshman of the Year honors and a Third Team All-American selection.
EDGE Williams Nwaneri – Nebraska
On3 Industry Transfer Portal Ranking: No. 7
Previous School: Missouri
The former Five-Star Plus+ defensive lineman announced his intentions to leave Missouri and enter the portal on Tuesday. On Thursday, he went into the portal with a do not contact tag.
Nwaneri played in just four games as a freshman after signing with the Tigers over Oklahoma, Tennessee and Georgia. However, his high school coach Jamar Mozee is now on staff at Nebraska and the Huskers moved quickly to secure him.
EDGE Princewill Umanmielen – Ole Miss
On3 Industry Transfer Portal Ranking: No. 9
Previous School: Nebraska
Umanmielen spent two years at Nebraska, arriving as a notable recruiting win for Matt Rhule, before entering the transfer portal Dec. 9 when the window opened. This past season, he totaled 13 tackles, three tackles for loss and a half-sack. That came after an impressive freshman season in Lincoln when he had 22 tackles, five tackles for loss and a sack while playing on the defensive line.
He now joins the Rebels, who signed his brother Princely — a transfer from Florida — last offseason.
OT Xavier Chaplin – Auburn
On3 Industry Transfer Portal Ranking: No. 12
Previous School: Virginia Tech
A multi-year starter for the Hokies, Chaplin is one of the most coveted players at a very scarce position in the transfer portal.
As a member of the Class of 2022, Chaplin was a three-star recruit out of Seabrook (S.C.) Whale Branch. After redshirt as a freshman, he started all 13 games at tackle in 2023 and helped paved the way for the nation’s No. 22 rushing offense while registering 813 snaps and only allowing five sacks.
WR Barion Brown – LSU
On3 Industry Transfer Portal Ranking: No. 14
Previous School: Kentucky
Brown is a former On3 Freshman All-American and has 122 career receptions for 1,528 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns in his 37 career games at Kentucky. The 6-foot-1, 182-pound junior was a Preseason First Team All-America selection entering 2024 but finished with a career-low 29 catches for 361 yards and three touchdowns.
He ranks first in UK history in kickoff return average (29.3 yards per return) and set the single-season school marks in return average (36 yards per return) and scores (three) in 2023. LSU is considered the strong favorite to land him after expert predictions in their favor.
QB Luke Kromenhoek – Mississippi State
On3 Industry Transfer Portal Ranking: No. 18
Previous School: Florida State
Kromenhoek appeared in six games for Florida this season, including two starts. His late-season production came after issues with DJ Uiagalelei and Brock Glenn forced FSU to reach for Kromenhoek’s services within the depth chart by season’s end.
He finished 44-84 (52.4%) for 502 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions in those limited reps. After departing Tallahassee, he’ll now have the opportunity to reboot under Mississippi State head coach Jeff Lebby, considered one of the nation’s top play-callers.
WR Kevin Coleman – Missouri
On3 Industry Transfer Portal Ranking: No. 21
Previous School: Mississippi State
Coleman was one of the bright spots in Mississippi State’s offense in 2024, catching 74 passes for 932 yards and six touchdowns. All of those numbers were career highs for the junior out of St. Louis, Missouri. In his career, he has 133 catches for 1,804 yards and 11 touchdowns to his credit.
Now, he’ll return home to the Show-Me State for one final season with the Tigers after stops in Starkville, as well as at Louisville and Jackson State.
IOL Patrick Kutas – Ole Miss
On3 Industry Transfer Portal Ranking: No. 26
Previous School: Arkansas
Kutas appeared in 26 games over his three years in Fayetteville. He appeared in all 13 as a freshman, although mostly on special teams, and then started all nine as a sophomore on their offensive line before a season-ending injury. He then played in four, all of which were starts, this fall after coming in with a back injury.
The 6-foot-5, 315 pounder has played at multiple spots along the line and could do so again in Oxford.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pounder redshirted as a true freshman before a breakout sophomore campaign in 2024. Mensah completed better than 65 percent of his passes, while throwing for over 2,100 yards and 18 touchdowns.

TE Luke Hasz – Ole Miss
On3 Industry Transfer Portal Ranking: No. 30

After a solid freshman season, Hasz had a strong sophomore campaign in 2024, reeling in 26 catches for 324 yards, four touchdowns and 12.5 yards per catch. For his career, he has 42 catches for 577 yards, seven touchdowns and averages 13.7 yards per catch.
As a member of the Class of 2023, Hasz was a four-star recruit out of Bixby (Okla.) High.
OT Hunter Zambrano – Texas Tech
On3 Industry Transfer Portal Ranking: No. 32
Previous School: Illinois State
Zambrano was one of the top Group of Five portal entrants early last week, garnering interest from across the country. The former Class of 2020 prospect allowed just two sacks in 12 games and recorded 45 pancake blocks.
QB Jackson Arnold – Auburn
On3 Industry Transfer Portal Ranking: No. 33
Previous School: Oklahoma
Arnold appeared in seven games as a backup in 2023, making just one start, then entered the 2024 season as Oklahoma’s chosen starter at the position after Dillon Gabriel left for Oregon. He was benched after a shaky start that saw him throw seven touchdowns against three interceptions in three and a half games.
For the season, he completed 154 of 246 attempts (63%) for 1,421 yards and 12 touchdowns, against three interceptions. He also ran for 444 yards and three touchdowns.
CB Julian Humphrey – Texas A&M
On3 Industry Transfer Portal Ranking: No. 34
Previous School: Georgia
Humphrey finished his redshirt sophomore season with 10 total tackles and four pass breakups, starting 10 games for the Bulldogs before the College Football Playoff. A top-100 recruit in the 2022 class, he finished his Georgia career with 21 tackles and five pass breakups. Humphrey entered the transfer portal after the 2023 season but ultimately decided to remain in Athens for another season.
EDGE Dashawn Womack – Ole Miss
On3 Industry Transfer Portal Ranking: No. 35
Previous School: LSU
Ole Miss continues to rack up early commitments in the portal cycle, and Womack is another with a lot of potential to succeed in Oxford.
He signed with LSU as a top-50 national prospect out of high school in the 2023 class and made double-digit appearances for their defense in that time as an underclassman. Through 20 collegiate games, he has posted 23 tackles, four deflections, and 2.5 sacks.
QB Miller Moss – Louisville
On3 Industry Transfer Portal Ranking: No. 39
