Big Ten lands 10 at-large bids for 2023 NCAA Wrestling Tournament
With the conference tournaments in the rearview mirror, the 2023 NCAA Wrestling Championships are just a week away. The NCAA announced the at-large bids across all 10 weight classes and the Big Ten landed 10 bids of the 47 announced.
“The at-large selections, listed in alphabetical order in each weight class, join the 283 student-athletes that qualified through their conference tournament finishes over the weekend,” the NCAA release read. “The at-large selections were made by the NCAA Division I Wrestling Committee using the following selection criteria: head-to-head competition, quality wins, results against common opponents, winning percentage, ratings percentage index, coaches ranking and conference tournament finish.”

With that, there are 330 total wrestlers across the 10 weight classes for next week’s championships. The conference tournaments across the country provided 283 automatic bids to the tournament.
