Nebraska 4-star athlete commit Jeremiah Jones shuts down recruitment
Missouri has been heavily recruiting Murray (Ky.) four-star athlete Jeremiah Jones over the past few months, despite him being committed to Nebraska.
Jones pledged to the Huskers in July, when he chose them over in-state Louisville and more than a dozen other offers. The Tigers offered him a few weeks after his NU commitment though and turned up the heat on him in recent months. That included an official visit the weekend of November 9 when Eli Drinkwitz and Co. hosted Oklahoma.
But the nation’s No. 3 athlete is sticking with the Huskers and announced on Friday that he is shutting down his recruitment.
The 6-foot-5, 217-pounder has been a huge riser during his senior season, checking in as the No. 158 overall prospect and No. 3 athlete nationally, according to the On300 rankings.

On3 is significantly higher on him than other services, which all have him tabbed as a three-star prospect.
Jones was a one-man wrecking crew for his high school program as a junior, hauling in 22 catches for 326 yards and two touchdowns and rushing 62 times for 304 yards and three TDs.
He also completed 54 of 102 passes for 643 yards and six TDs while playing quarterback. And on defense, he had 66 tackles, four sacks, and five tackles for a loss, as well as two interceptions, and two fumble recoveries, including one he returned for a TD.
