Former Nebraska offensive tackle Xander Ruggeroli will transfer to play for Arizona State in 2025, On3’s Pete Nakos reported. He played in just one game this past season as a true freshman for the Cornhusker and will have four years of eligibility remaining.

Ruggeroli played high school football for Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he was a three-star prospect in the 2024 class. He ranked as the No. 1,261 overall player and No. 87 offensive tackle in the cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

As a transfer, Ruggeroli is the No. 891 overall player and No. 56 offensive tackle in On3’s Transfer Portal Player Rankings.

The 6-foot-6 offensive lineman helped Bishop Gorman High School to an undefeated season and state championship as a senior. Overall, he won three state titles in his high school career.

Ruggeroli is the ninth addition through the transfer portal for Arizona State and the third player it has added Sunday. The Sun Devils are coming off of a season in which they finished as Big 12 Champions and earned a College Football Playoff berth, falling in the quarterfinals to Texas.

Oregon DL My’Keil Gardner signs with Arizona State

Former Oregon defensive lineman My’Keil Gardner has signed with Arizona State out of the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned.

Gardner entered the NCAA transfer portal on Thursday.

My’Keil Gardner is coming off his second season with the Ducks and has played sparingly in those two years. He is not listed as having played in a game during the 2024 season.

Gardner had previously appeared in three games for the team during the 2023 season, taking a redshirt after recording one tackle.

Prior to enrolling at Oregon, My’Keil Gardner was ranked as a three-star prospect and the No. 442 overall recruit in the 2023 recruiting class. He also checked in as the No. 48 defensive lineman and the No. 10 overall player from the state of Arizona, hailing from Peoria (AZ) Liberty.
