New school trending in On3 RPM for 4-star Janiran Bonner
Even though he’s been committed to Georgia Tech since April, a new school is trending and expected to sign four-star receiver Janiran Bonner on Wednesday.
According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, it’s Nebraska that has a 91.7% chance of landing Bonner out of Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove.
Georgia Tech is still listed at 5.7%. However, the Yellowjackets have apparently already moved on and recently received a commitment from three-star Jullian Lewis out of Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.) Western.
Other schools on his list are Memphis and Jackson State. He is scheduled to announce his decision at 11 a.m. CT on Wednesday.
Janiran Bonner took a last-minute official visit this past weekend to Lincoln. It was the final weekend that visits were allowed before the start of the dead period, and all indications are things went well for the Big Red.

As a senior in 2021, Bonner had 50 catches for 816 yards and nine touchdowns. If Nebraska adds Bonner on Wednesday he would be the third freshman wide-out in its 2022 recruiting class. He would be joining three-stars Victor Jones and Decoldest Crawford.
Janiran Bonner ranks as the No. 344 player in the country, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
He’s also ranked in the On3 Consensus as the No. 56 receiver and 30th-best player in Georgia. On3 ranks Janiran Bonner as the 45th-best player in the Peach State.
Leading the charge in his recruitment for Nebraska is tight end coach Sean Beckton. He handles the state of Georgia for the Cornhuskers. New receivers coach Mickey Joseph is also involved for the Big Red.
