Michigan Wolverines center Vladislav Goldin performed in last week’s NBA Combine in Chicago looking to put himself on the radar of pro scouts, but may have an uphill battle ahead of him now in his quest to be drafted.

On3’s James Fletcher weighed in on Goldin’s combine performance, calling him one of the “losers” of the showcase in Chicago:

Vlad Goldin entered the NBA Combine as one of the most intriguing players to watch, do in part to his size. He also showed he could play with a second big last season, building his stock.

Goldin measured 7-foot-0 with a 7-foot-5.25 wingspan, in line with expectations. He was never going to star in drills, but needed to stand out during the scrimmage.

Unfortunately, Goldin struggled to keep up with the pace at times. He also lacked impact plays whether in the halfcourt or on defense, where he rarely played beside another player who could be classified as a big.

Goldin spoke to the media during the event, and said that all he wants is a shot to play in the NBA. It does not matter what team or where the opportunity comes from.

“That’s probably a better question for the agents,” Goldin said, via our Clayton Sayfie. “I just want to play in the NBA. That’s all I want. I’ll take anything.”

Michigan quote of the day

“I feel like when Coach Lindsey came in, he’s seen the type of player I was throughout the spring,” Morgan said. “It’s already night and day because I’m running more routes. You know what I’m saying? And that’s what I really do. I’m a technician when it comes to routes. So I don’t like want to be running bubbles all day and stuff like Coach Campbell had me doing. That’s not me. That’s not my thing.”
