Nick Saban purchased $17.5 million oceanfront property on Jupiter Island
Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban deserves to be able to relax once in a while. The legendary coach is known for his work ethic which has helped him to become the greatest coach in modern college football history.
So, there’s nobody out there who would say that he shouldn’t be able to treat himself to a massive new house. That’s exactly what Saban did, buying a multi-million dollar oceanfront home on Jupiter Island in Florida.
Front Office Sports reported that the house Nick Saban purchased cost a whopping $17.5 million. You can check it out, here:
The house has numerous features at 6,200 sq. ft. with six bedrooms and five bathrooms. Among the best of those features are floor-to-ceiling glass walls, a private garden, and a dock with a boat lift. Of course, that’s just the tip of the iceberg of what Saban’s getting in this gorgeous home.
It’s a good neighborhood too, with more than a few high-profile neighbors. Along with Nick Saban, famed golfers Tiger Woods, Justin Thomas, and Rickie Fowler, all have homes on Jupiter Island. So, Saban may be picking up the golf clubs a little bit more often. That is if he ever finds the time when he’s not coaching or recruiting.

Of course, all of this may have Alabama fans worried that Nick Saban is thinking about retirement. After all, he’s a 71-year-old man buying property in Florida. However, he does remain committed to coaching the Crimson Tide and doing so at an incredibly high level.
“Well, you know, I love it,” Saban said. “Speak to your 71 years of age, I just want to let you know that they don’t make them like they used to.”
Nick Saban on retirement
Ahead of the 2022 season, Nick Saban was asked about retirement. However, he scoffed at the idea, wondering what he would do and explaining what keeps him going in the process.
“Everybody asks me when I wanna retire. Retire from what? I’m gonna jump into an empty abyss, aight, of what am I going to do? Because the very challenges that I talk about and the things in our profession that concern me – for you and for me both, in your game and our game – that’s what keeps me going. That’s why I get up every day. That’s why I can’t sleep at night sometimes,” Saban said.
“So why would you quit doing that? I haven’t figured that one out yet.”
