4-star C Nigel Walls down to 3 schools
Nigel Walls, a four-star power forward in the 2025 class, has narrowed his list of schools down to three, he told On3. Moving forward, the 6-foot-10 senior out of Houston St. Francis Episcopal School will consider Auburn, SMU, and TCU.
Walls has taken official visits to each of his finalists but says he does not yet have a commitment date in mind. He also received offers from Kansas State, LSU, Alabama, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and more.
According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Walls is the No. 57 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle. He’s also the No. 12 power forward prospect and the No. 6 player in Texas. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Walls Scouting Report
“The intrigue with Nigel Walls comes with the mixture of his size and natural fluidity. Listed around 6-10, Walls is a good straight-line athlete, but he also moves well laterally, and is able to open his hips and switch directions. Walls will need to continue getting stronger, this will enhance his production on both ends of the floor. He is a capable floor spacer when his feet are set, showing a consistent release and range. He will need to continue working on the balance and footwork of his shooting. Walls offense is more in transition, have not seen much in the way of back to the basket at this point. Has a lot of natural raw tools, tools that are appealing at the highest levels. Now it is time to start piecing the tools together, enhancing the skill set, and consistently producing. The defensive upside is very intriguing at this point.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw

What he’s looking for in a school
In a previous interview with On3, Nigel Walls discussed what he is looking for in a college program.
“I want to go into a program that has a family-based environment. On the court, I want to play in a system that is going to get up and down the floor and stress playing defense and switching everything. I don’t want to play for a system where the big is just playing inside. That just isn’t how the NBA is these days. Bigs can get the rebound, push the break, and move the ball. I want to be developed.”
