LuHi eventually closed within one late in the fourth quarter, but Cenac and Easter took over toward the end to keep the Crusaders at bay. Cenac, a Houston signee, hit one of two free throws in the final seconds to extend the lead to 74-71. Anthony had a last-ditch heave at the buzzer in an attempt to tie it, but didn’t come close and the Lions escaped.
Cenac paced the Lions with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 6 blocks on 9-for-11 shooting, while Perry (16) and Easter (15) both were in double-figures. Kayden Mingo, meanwhile, had 22 of his own on 8/14 shooting, with his brother Dylan contributing 17 and Anthony adding 16 on 4/6 shooting from behind the arc.
