Meet the new 5-star recruits

On3 released its final 2023 On300 ranking earlier today. It includes nine prospects that earned their fifth star. Here is what to know about the newest On3 five-star recruits:

OT Monroe Freeling – Signed with Georgia

On300 Ranking: No. 7
Previous On300 Ranking: No. 27
School: Mount Pleasant (S.C.) Oceanside Collegiate Academy
On3 NIL Valuation: $154K
Monroe Freeling in our opinion had the best senior film and looked like the top offensive lineman in person at the All-American Bowl, which is in a very deep offensive line group. His frame at six-foot-seven, 295 pounds and just his outstanding flexibility and functional movement skills stand out at the position.” — On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power

DL Jordan Hall – Signed with Georgia

On300 Ranking: No. 13
Previous On300 Ranking: No. 29
School: Jacksonville (Fla.) Westside
On3 NIL Valuation: $157K
Jordan Hall is arguably the most disruptive interior defensive lineman in this cycle. He has an outstanding first step, great length for the position and he impressed us at the All-American Bowl as well.” — On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power

CB Jermaine Mathews – Enrolled at Ohio State

On300 Ranking: No. 14
Previous On300 Ranking: No. 35
School: Cincinnati (Ohio) Winton Woods
On3 NIL Valuation: $142K
“Over the course of the cycle, we thought Jermaine Mathews was the best corner we saw in person. He had a fantastic senior year. He has outstanding ball production with five interceptions as a senior. It’s a turnover waiting to happen. He’s just a playmaker on Friday nights, along with very strong measurables for the position in terms of his length and speed.” — On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power

EDGE Yhonzae Pierre – Signed with Alabama

On300 Ranking: No. 17
Previous On300 Ranking: No. 34
School: Eufaula (Ala.)
On3 NIL Valuation: $160K
Yhonzae Pierre is a player we’ve liked for a while. He had back-to-back strong showings on the all-star circuit, really cementing himself as one of the top pass rushers in this cycle. He is very disruptive, explosive and just a dynamic speed rusher off the edge.” — On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power

LB Raylen Wilson – Signed with Georgia

On300 Ranking: No. 18
Previous On300 Ranking: No. 28
School: Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln
On3 NIL Valuation: $224K
Raylen Wilson is one of the more athletic linebackers nationally. He is very productive, a high-volume tackler on the high school level. He has an outstanding speed profile on the track running a 10.9 in the 100-meter dash, and he plays that fast on the field as well. He looked like the top linebacker we saw in person at either all-star game.” — On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power

QB Dante Moore – Signed with UCLA

On300 Ranking: No. 20
Previous On300 Ranking: No. 55
School: Detroit Martin Luther King
On3 NIL Valuation: $741K
Dante Moore has an argument as the most polished passer in the quarterback cycle. This is a guy who really stands out in neutral settings, whether that’s seven-on-seven, camps or most recently, the All-American Bowl, where he really turned in a dominant performance as a pocket-passer.” — On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power

LB Suntarine Perkins – Signed with Ole Miss

On300 Ranking: No. 21
Previous On300 Ranking: No. 78
School: Raleigh (Miss.)
On3 NIL Valuation: $159K
Suntarine Perkins had a huge senior season. He ran for over 2,000 yards while also playing defense and leading his team to a state title. He backed that up with a phenomenal showing at the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game. We’re really impressed with his length, speed, his range and just his physicality as a striker.” — On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power

OT Kadyn Proctor – Enrolled at Alabama

On300 Ranking: No. 27
Previous On300 Ranking: No. 44
School: Des Moines (Iowa) Southeast Polk
On3 NIL Valuation: $290K
Kadyn Proctor is one of the bigger and more powerful offensive lineman that we’ve seen in person this cycle. He’s around 6-foot-6, 345 pounds, just a people mover as a run blocker and moves well with his size.” — On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power

WR Eugene Wilson III – Signed with Florida

On300 Ranking: No. 32
Previous On300 Ranking: No. 31
School: Tampa (Fla.) Gaither
On3 NIL Valuation: $129K
Eugene Wilson III is a receiver we’ve been high on for some time. He’s just a silky smooth, highly-skilled and coordinated receiver. He’s a great route-runner. He’s strong after the catch and has really good ball skills for a slot type, six-foot wide receiver.” — On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power
