Stockbridge (Ga.) cornerback Nireek Sharpe has changed his commitment date to Dec. 9 at 9:30 a.m. He previously announced Monday that he would reveal his college decision on Dec. 5.

Sharpe is unranked in the 2023 On3 Consensus. However, On3 rates him higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Even though he is not ranked in the 2023 On300, Sharpe is the No. 103 cornerback and No. 98 player in Georgia.

The 6-foot-2, 175-pound defensive back previously announced that he will be deciding between Georgia Tech, Michigan State and Mississippi State. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, it is a close race for his commitment. The Yellow Jackets lead at 48.6%, while the Bulldogs are not far behind at 42.5%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Other schools to offer Sharpe include Arizona State and Western Kentucky. He took an official visit to Mississippi State on the weekend of Nov. 5, as well as unofficial visits to Auburn (Sept. 24) and Georgia Tech (Oct. 20).

Sharpe has an On3 NIL Valuation of $13.3K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
